"Mr. DeNardo received advance approval from Ms. Kious the day prior to the appointment during a telephone discussion on August 29, 2020 at 9:26 pm, wherein Mr. DeNardo advised Ms. Kious that he would not proceed with Speaker Pelosi's appointment without Ms. Kious' authorization," a letter from DeNardo's attorney, Matthew Soleimanpour stated.

According to the attorney, his office is in possession of photos and videos that show Kious working on clients despite the State of California's lockdown orders. The letter also accuses Kious of failing to follow social distancing guidelines and failing to wear masks.

"What's more, Ms. Kious has also been actively encouraging and almost forcing stylists who operate at eSalon to violate such orders for her own financial benefit in the form of receiving lease payments," the letter stated.

As I understand California law, salons have been able to care of one customer at a time OUTSIDE the shop. If the owner was violating the law, shame on her, but it still doesn't excuse Pelosi for her actions, or for throwing the owner and stylist under the bus when it became public.

There are a lot of you guys out there who repeatedly call me a loony liberal, but even I think that Pelosi screwed up on this one.

The law clearly states that people can get their hair done OUTSIDE the salon, not inside, and Pelosi has been telling everyone for weeks now that they need to wear a mask when in public. She on the other hand apparently doesn't think that applies to her. No, she should not have been inside, even if the salon worker told her it's okay, because as a lawmaker, she should have known what the rules were. She first said that because she was getting her hair washed, that is why she didn't wear a mask. Sorry, but that dog won't hunt, as on Inside Edition today, they talked to several salon workers, and they all said that it's fairly easy to wash a persons hair if they are wearing a mask. Then, Pelosi said she was set up. Nope, that is another crappy excuse, because the salon has had security cameras in use for around 5 years now, and you could tell from the footage that it was a security camera.

A friend of mine recently had her hair done, and she said that she had to wear a mask while getting it washed and there was no problem with it.

Pelosi (like many out there on both sides who try to make excuses for bad behavior), needs to simply own up to what she did, apologize, and move on with her life, not try to say she was set up or any other stupid excuse she's trying to use. I've found that if a person gets caught doing something wrong and owns up to it and apologizes gets a lot more leeway than those who get caught, make excuses, and try to blame others.

EVERYONE should remember that the original sin of Adam and Eve wasn't so much that they ate the apple, it was that they didn't take responsibility for their actions. I'm pretty sure if Adam and Eve said they were curious and that is why they did it and owned up to their actions that God would have forgiven them, and might have let them stay in the Garden.
