True. The person that gave the win to Trump was Joe, by insisting he could run, win and keep it together for 4 more years. You are correct, that some high level people, undoubtedly knew and saw the deteriorating mental condition. The conversation, should have been had, and who knows, maybe it was, but Joe insisted, as the sitting president. Any way you cut it, the Trump win, becomes Joe's fault, overestimating his own competence, and running until that late in the campaign. They simply did not have the time to set up a believable narrative, around Harris, who had been a useless bag of bones, starting the moment Joe foolishly accepted her as VP running mate, and most everybody knew it. If you are going to sell a sows ear as a silk purse for the presidency, it takes a hell of a longer than 4 months create it, no matter how much money you can throw at it.

Without unverifiable mail in ballots no Democrat was going to defeat Trump.

Democrats never address Biden running in 2020 as being a 1 term president. Was there no discussions with Joe on not announcing he was going to run again? Obama, Pelosi and other high level party leaders never discussed how to approach the '24 primaries long before Biden announced he was running again?

Obama, Pelosi and the democrat party as a whole were all fine with keeping Biden, fully knowing he was not running things. The only reason they turned on Joe was because they lost control of the narrative after the debate with TRUMP.

There is no way they could have held some kind of quick primary that would have changed things. The party as a whole support the Biden agenda.

Nobody but Harris could use the billion plus dollar campaign chest the Biden/Harris Campaign had raised. That’s why she was chosen.

The convention where time after time on votes the call came from the Buckeye state, "Ohio passes." The Vice President nomination vote became a clown show with votes cast for Chairman Mao, Archie Bunker, dead persons, etc. With all the buffoonery the ticked off delegates delayed McGovern's acceptance speech till 3 o'clock in the morning.

Me too. It was just over a month after I graduated high school and 2 months before my 18th birthday. Woody Hayes was coaching Ohio State and folks were joking Ohio never passes. Woody often said there are 3 results of the forward pass, and 2 of them are bad. He amended that to 3 of 4 being bad a few years after being fired for clobbering the Clemson player that had just intercepted an Ohio State pass during a bowl game.

Barack Obama was not pleased that Nancy Pelosi endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris the day after President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race, a new book claims.

Former President Barack Obama was not pleased that former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris the day after President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race.
In his new book Retribution, ABC News' Jonathan Karl provided new details on what had been widely known - that Obama didn't want a quick coronation of Harris, but rather 'a process' to determine who would become the Democratic nominee.
The Daily Mail obtained an advanced copy.
Obama called Pelosi shortly after her endorsement of Harris became public.
'The Obamas were not happy,' a Pelosi confidant told Karl. 'This person summed up Obama's message to Pelosi as, essentially, "What the f*** did you just do?"'
Pelosi told the former Democratic president: 'That train has left the station.'
The endorsement had come as a surprise to Obama because he and Pelosi had been in 'regular communication' as it appeared then 81-year-old Biden was nearing the decision to drop out of the race, and 'they agreed Harris should not simply be handed the nomination unchallenged,' Karl wrote.
'Therefore, Obama and Pelosi - arguably the two most influential figures in the Democratic Party - had privately agreed to abstain from making any endorsements,' the longtime ABC News reporter said.

'The former president wanted to know what had happened. Why had Pelosi issued a statement endorsing Harris so soon? Hadn't he and Pelosi agreed days earlier that party leaders anointing the vice president as Biden’s replacement would be a mistake?' Karl wrote.
A source close to Obama told Karl that the former president wasn't actually angry at Pelosi over the endorsement, characterizing the conversation as a 'good-natured ribbing.'
But the source close to the California congresswoman remembered it differently, believing Obama sounded 'genuinely irritated' by Pelosi's move, using the four-letter word to describe the tone.

But with major Democrats like Bill and Hillary Clinton, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and potential challengers like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, California Governor Gavin Newsom and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer quickly backing Harris, 'she had no choice,' Karl wrote.
'No other candidates had stepped forward - Kamala Harris was it. The only thing Pelosi could do was try to help her win the election,' Karl said.
Obama and his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, made the same assessment days later, officially endorsing Harris in a campaign video five days after Biden exited the 2024 race.

Democrats stabbed Joe in the back.
Joey B then turned right around and stabbed them in the back with a quick endorsement of Kamala Harris. That was a real “Screw you!” to his own party.
Pelosi was caught off guard and didn’t know what to do so she just went along with Joe’s endorsement.
Democrats led by Obama and Pelosi screwed things up welly before June of 2024.
Biden shouldn’t have been president. He was mentally unfit before he ran and Democrat hierarchy knew it. But Covid was the cover up. Harris blew the primaries and they should have picked a way better vice presidential candidate. The picked a loser that they couldn’t beat the current president. Lots of political mistakes.
Obama has done more to divide this country than any previous president, and the demented Joey Biden just continued his legacy.
Is there trouble and turmoil in the Democrat paradise? San Fran Nan was of no help in totally botched 2024 election.
Now the "Party" is in total disarray and it will take years to recover.
