The Capitol police requested more security (National Guard) before Jan 6 and were repeatedly denied such extra security by the Sergeants at Arms of the House and the Senate at the direction of Nancy Pelosi....because of "the optics". They ended up being scapegoats for Princess Pelosi and Chuckie Boy Schumer. Schumer said he would have fired the Senate Sergeant at Arms had he been the Majority Leader.
