Virginia Democrats won a narrow victory that could turn into a black eye for the party.

In a clip posted to the social media platform X, former Democratic strategist Dan Turrentine reported that leading Democrats in the Old Dominion believe their redistricting plan, approved by voters last month, will not survive in court.

Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger's office doubted the legality of Democrats' redistricting plan. But Democrats in the General Assembly went forward with it anyway.

I figured it was in trouble with the VASC when they allowed the Tazwell Judge's stay of certification stand till they decided the case.

Hope springs eternal.

That would be fabulous and hilarious, just earlier, I saw a prediction that if all goes well down south with Tennessee, Louisiana and a few other states, things could really swing well onto the GOP's side. And that doesn't even include if Va falls through.

BTW, on another vein, I lost track of the King and Queen's travels outside of NYC, did King Charles ever make it down to your area like you thought he might?

Virginia Democrats got greedy. They had a fair, statistical representation of their party but they had to go all New England and take everything, like totalitarians do. How obvious does it have to get that Democrats don't represent the people.

lol I love stories like this.

One party wins by 1% of the vote, immediately feels "mandated" to ignore half of the population and pursue some hair brained vision of their own. We have to do better than this, and primary all of these would be brainiacs out. Both parties all elections, give us something to vote for that matters.

Oh yeah, the King and Queen were around for about an hour.....Of course Spanberger had to schlep in, uninvited, lookin' all creepy and shit..

Virginia thought they were going to steal a few spots, but in reality, what they did was awaken America to Democrats racist gerrymandering practices. Their unchecked greed is about to get checked by the fairness police. It's about time.

I'd like to think so but you never know what the "robes" are gonna do....It's still a crap shoot.

Why should Texas be allowed to gerrymander with impunity, but not Virginia? Because one state is run by Republicans and the other state is run by Democrats? Democrats are just supposed to quietly take it without fighting back?

Of course, the answer is YES in the tiny minds of all dishonest MAGA Republicans.

#1 Look at Trumps popular vote that he called a mandate.

#2 “Win by1%# preferred describes winner take all EC states.

The OP title is your hope, not the facts.
Of course it is but the VASC left the stay of cert in place so there really is hope.

Before that happened there wasn't much hope.

Now the dems are backbiting.

BTW....The title is exactly the same as what is in the link's header....Try again.

I think you are wrong, but good luck. This is what America is about.
