MY flex panels only lasted 4 years, my tenants panels also wasn't working anymore for them, guessing they had theirs for similar short length of time.
Deep cell AGM marine batteries well maintained and initially properly seasoned (not allowed below 50% for 100 recharges) last 4 years
Still seeing how long my LITHIUM will last= estimated at 7-10 I'll let you know how accurate that legend is.
Solar controler are hit or miss, the designs including how you input into them are hit or miss with sometimes short life spans and or bad connections needing reinsertion which often means stripped screw heads.
Inverters Pure Sine can have loud airplane sounding annoying on off fans or they can be hit or miss and break down to soon.
Basically if your panels and other stuff can't last as long as a 20 year roof then is it worth it? For a Cabin in a remote area without electric poles then yes, but if you have electric grid then most likely not, even with the minimum monthly when not using, still might be better off with reliable power not always worrying about usage and will you have enough storage for winter weather heater or blistering summer AC cooling.
