What to do if your computer is kidnapped.

If you click on a link and an ominous 'red' page appears telling you that you have lost control of your computer and you must do this or that, don't freak out. This has happened to me twice. I immediately shut my computer down manually. When I booted up the page was gone and all was ok.

Well, if they took mine over then mightily bored they would be.

But yeah, it does seem to work. You really have to watch some of the links folks post here, especially the leftist poster's links.
