First WWI veteran who became world's oldest man dies hours after Walter Cronkite, voice of the man on the moon, July 1969, as the free space in the trenches of the end of the age is about to be drastically reduced by the massive arrival of the moon generation
July 1969 - Walter Cronkite becomes the voice of the man on the moon. Six years earlier he had been the voice of the magic bullet that killed J.F.K. at Dallas. Six years later he would become the voice of the last US military on Saigon rooftops.

The two last survivors
Since today, among those who experienced the Begin of the Final Descent (2), there are two survivors left:
- Claude Stanley Choules, born 3 March 1901, the last seaman from World War I, and the last veteran in the world to have served in both world wars;
- "Harry" Patch. the last surviving soldier to have fought in the trenches. At the age of 111, he became today the oldest living man in the UK and the third-oldest verified man in the world.
