The last person to test positive for covid-19 that actually died in Taiwan, was back in early May, nearly 6 months ago.

The only reason Taiwan still has any positive infections is because they allow citizens from around the world to return to the country. Every citizen, returning to TAIWAN from the outside world, must quarantine for 14 days, regardless if they test negative or positive. Only after 14 days of quarantine, a negative tests after that period, are they allowed out of quarantine and can return to their life in the country. Taiwan has about a couple of dozen of these people returning from overseas every month that are infected.
