On this SPECIAL Veterans Day

Jane Fonda was hot back then. But still on the wrong side of the line of the Hot- Crazy scale.

On this SPECIAL Day put aside for our Brave American Soldiers, lets also remember Jane Fonda and how she laughed and sat on an ENEMY anti-aircraft gun as she called our American troops “war criminals.

It's Veterans Day? I have it on CNN and they have been covering the "Climate crisis" all day, they are now demanding "climate damage reparations" for poor nations.

If it were up to them we'd all be celebrating the great sacrifices D.C politicians have made for our freedom...

(Canadian born) Donald Southerland was part of that trip. When an American POW slipped a message to the Fonda people they turned it over to the V.C. Fonda apparently made a lame apology in later years but Southerland never did.

As a general rule, don't trust Canadians. Not even me.

Well, I'm at least honest, but I don't even trust myself sometimes since I am Canadian :(

Ironically Donald Southerland later played a Vietnam veteran flyer in "Space Cowboys". I wonder if there was a twinge of guilt or if Southerland is a sociopath who feels no guilt.

Neither, he's just Canadian. When it comes time to bow, he's first in line (as long as he gets benefits).

I was a member of the Young Americans for Freedom in the late 70s when Jane Fonda and her husband Tom Hayden came to speak at Yale University. The name of their topic as "Economic Democracy" or something like that.

They were invited to speak in two different buildings. Fonda spoke in one building while Hayden spoke in another. Then they would switch places.

We YAFers lay in wait between the two buildings. Someone suggested we should sing God Bless America as she passed. I pointed out she would probably join in. So we came up with a plan.

As Fonda came out and began crossing the street, we began singing. Sure enough, she joined in singing God Bless America.

And that is when we shouted, "TELL IT TO HANOI! TELL IT TO HANOI! TELL IT TO HANOI!"

The look on her face was priceless.
