The fact of the matter is that the issue of illegal immigrants is a wedge issue being used by the 'Deliverance' wing of the Republican party, which is desperate to hang onto political power.

In the end, nothing of subsatance will be done about the issue because these undocumented workers take jobs American businesses are unwilling to pay American workers to do. And American business doesn't really want anything to happen to this cheap labor pool. After all, with illegals, they don't have to worry about little inconveniences like occupational safety regs, workers comp, wage and hour laws...little thing like that ya know.

And the poor Democrats, trying so hard to fix the situation. :rotflmao:

Darn. You mean tot ell me that all those protestors on TV were from the Republican 'Deliverance' wing??? No wonder the Dems can't win an election!

Give it a rest. This has been an issue during my entire lifetime. That alone accounts for the majority of that time Dems controlling Congress, and 4 Dem Presidents.

If this was solely a Republican issue, the Dems have had more than ample opportunity to rectify the situation.

I disagree completely. The dems have tried their best to whore themselves out to the illegals for their vote. Oh wait... there wasn't any dems speaking at any of the marches... hmmm... maybe the whore is a two faced liar.

Something WILL be done. Because the marches will get more violent if there isn't. And what's going to be done isn't going to be what the illegals want anyway though. There may be violence anyway, because there WILL NOT BE ANY AMNESTY. They should just get that through their head. No illegal will EVER VOTE in America either. That's why the dems didn't show their faces at any of the marches. The dems are throwing the illegals away like a used condom realizing they'll never get their vote.

Ever notice that issues that the GOP is clearly in the right about , and the Dems are clearly in the wrong about, are dismissed by the Left as "wedge issues?"

hhhmmm...I thought Bush was supporting the amnesty...

You know, asking that question, and implying that democrats don't support anything, doesn't make it so.

It's just a way of invalidating pesky factoids. :salute:

No--its my new way of dealing with people who are merely whiners with no solutions

Bush does have a solution...amnesty....

Well damn, Grump,----lay some info on us----How does what Bush supports compare to what the democrats support. We could even maybe have a discussion instead of a lynching .

Hey, Jeff was saying the GOP were clearly right about the issue. In what way are they right about the issue?

The grassroots GOP is right on the issue. It's the damn idiots in Congress and the White House who want to promote amnesty. If you do a quick search, Dr. Grump, you'll see that I've come down against the idiotic Bush plan for amnesty, and that I (like others on this board) am for real immigration reform.

So, now that you know where the GOP grassroots stands, where do the Dems stand on illegal immigration and amnesty?
