NATO members did make a commitment four years ago to spend at least 2 percent of their GDP on defense by 2024.

Because they weren't meeting their commitment targets, just as Trump said.

Four years ago. You just quoted (from an article but you attributed it to me) something that disproved your statement. Before Trump was president NATO members already committed to spend at least 2% of their GDP by 2024. That's why they all looked at him like a loon during that one press conference, it's like he was lecturing them for something that is already planned out.

Bush and Obama were already hammering other NATO members to pick up the slack and during the Obama administration they agreed by 2024 to do just that.

I know I'm repeating myself but I'm hoping at least one of those two statements above makes it to your brain.

Before Trump was president NATO members already committed to spend at least 2% of their GDP by 2024.

They were supposed to be spending at least 2%, according to their 2006 agreement.
I hope Trump didn't hurt their feelings when he said, in 2018, they still weren't meeting their NATO
commitments.
They already made a commitment to for 2% by 2024 before Trump was in office. He literally did nothing but alienate us from our allies.

They already made a commitment to for 2% by 2024

They already made a commitment for 2% back in 2006.

I hope Trump didn't hurt their freeloading feelings.
I've already provided a link.

Did your link mention the 2006 agreement?
I'm referring to their 2014 pledge of 2%. Trump didn't didn't do that.

Why did they need a 2014 agreement?

They already made an agreement in 2006.

Maybe they didn't intend to meet either one?

Did they cry much when Trump criticized their spending?

Poor Euros, so delicate.
I guess they ignored Bush.

Eisenhower new Dem hero, the man who on orders from a Dem president burned 100's of thousands of men, women, and children alive during WWII firebombing raids. :cuckoo:
They should have put Truman on trial for war crimes after he ordered Dresden to be firebombed. Burned thousands of innocent men, women & children alive for no other reason then to extract vengeance. He destroyed & burned to the ground the most beautiful city in Europe. One of the most tragic events of ww2.
Just curious. Where do you stand on invading a country based on bullshit evidence of WMDs?

Ask the dems the same question.
After all, they signed up for the invasion of Iraq.

More Democrats voted against the war in Iraq and they also weren't the ones who ran it. They also weren't the ones screaming on tv every night that you're a traitor if you were against the war.

There were 156 of both the House and Senate members who voted against the Iraq War.

Of those 156:

150 were democrats
6 were republicans

Zero republican senators voted against the Iraq War.

Any idea why big cities aren't run by Republicans? They can't run a country so don't expect them to run a single city.
And conversely democrats like Lori "Beetle Geuce" Lightfoot, London Breed and Keisha Lance-Bottoms have fucked up their cities so bad they couldn't run a hot dog cart let alone any political office now that people see
what life is like in Hell.

In a Republic, actually
It's not 1956 you knucklehead and we have since spent TRILLIONS on these issues. :itsok:
The problem, of course, is that Republicans aren’t embarrassed.

Needless to say, the Republican party for at least the last 40 years is the consequence of the Southern Strategy, of embracing racism, bigotry, and intolerance, of pandering to religious extremism, of its authoritarianism, reactionaryism, fear of positive, beneficial change, fear of diversity and inclusion, and of its desire to compel conformity and punish dissent.

Those three cities have a combined GDP of about 1.6 trillion dollars. The rural southeast can't even come close.

All the Dem leaders voted for war. In fact when polls showed some Dems vote against the war was not popular with the American people Dems demanded a 2nd vote so they could vote for the war.

I guess that means the South is the geographic center of slavery then and they're all Conservatives.

You know who was in favor of slavery in the U.S.? White people. I guess using your logic white people are pro slavery too.
