USC, Duke, South Carolina QBs all staying. Mendoza of IU likely first overall pick, then it gets more difficult.

I'm not that high on any of those still there after Fernando. Diego Pavia will soon be "measured" at the Senior Bowl. Listed as 6 feet, he likely comes in at 5 9. He may yet be the #2 QB prospect at 5 9. The kid has it. The NFL wants QBs over 6 2, and that's the problem.

So, then we have Free Agency, and Malik Willis stands out.

Mendoza and Willis, the only two real immediate "upgrades" available.

Am I missing anyone???

A tight QB market will make the offseason that much more interesting...

I guess nobody else notices any other hot QB who will be "available" in the offseason.

For the record I am high on the SMU QB, not sure if he is coming out or not.

And, of course, a weak QB market would lead to possibly more aggressive bidding for the likes of whoever loses the NO QB competition, apparently Rattler for now.

Mac Jones? Milton on DAL? Tua? Hate to say Cousins again?
Yep I was going to say Mac Jones.

Kylar Murray may have busted it for Pavia and any other sub six footer. It's just too hard to play the NFL QB position if you are 6 inches shorter than your linemen.

I think Pavia is a good Qb

He could move the ball in the NFL if given the chance to play

But will any team give him that chance?

Mac Jones

Mac Jones is not currently a free agent in late 2025; he signed a two-year, $7 million contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March 2025 after the Jaguars declined his fifth-year option, making him an unrestricted free agent (UFA) for the 2027 offseason

Maybe worth a trade though...

Pavia "is a Steeler" in the way he plays and leads. I bet Tomlin likes him, assuming Tomlin doesn't get fired.

Milton has 2 years on his rookie deal left.

Tua has issues, severe concussions, huge contract etc.

Cousins has two years left on a huge deal, might get released, but he is old and not a "Franchise QB" for the future.

This is condition red, Oregon's Dante Moore is staying, not entering Draft.

How many NFL teams need a new starting QB?

Raiders = Mendoza #1 pick
Jets
AZ Cards
Miami
Pittsburgh

Likely do need one but could be "in denial" about it

Baltimore
Washington
Tampa
Minnesota
LA Rams

Detroit?
Cincy?
Philly?
ATL?

Free Agents

Malik Willis
Mack Jones

Draft

Mendoza

maybe Simpson, but I don't grade him that highly

TOO FEW QBs for TOO MANY TEAMS that need a QB....

Possibly good news for Spencer Rattler

Pavia is not a pro level QB.

That's what Auburn thought....

Auburn 0-3 vs Pavia QBed teams....

Pavia is extremely tough, durable, and has an NFL arm. The NFL will not like his height. But there were several NFL teams at the end of the season that would have been upgraded at QB with Pavia.

Jets
Raiders
Cards
Miami
Washington

? Spmce when is Auburn a bell weather for good QB play?

Pavia is your new Rattler.

Being tough and able to throw a football doesn’t make you an NFL QB. At best he gets an invite as an undrafted free agent.

As far as your list.

Why would Miami and Arizona trade one small qb for another less athletic one? Also Pavia isn’t as good as Brissett.

Pavia is also net as good as Mariota Nor Geno Smith.

I do t even know who the Jets had at QB but it’s on the board that I would have been an upgrade.

Pavia is not the prospect Rattler is.

Rattler, if NO is willing to trade him for a reasonable price, is the #2 or #3 offseason QB behind Mendoza and Willis, assuming Willis' injury is not a big deal going forward.

Kellen Moore probably does not want to trade Rattler because he doesn't want to be "Frank Reich the second."

Any rational intelligent analyst of QB play believes Kellen Moore is an absolute moron.

Like I said he isnt an NFL talent. Rattler is a backup at best, which means you think Pavia shouldnt be in the league.

I'm sure they would take a couple sugar packets and a nickel to call it even. And no he is not.

Brissett
Jones
Mariotta

just off the top of my head are back ups/free agents who are light years ahead of Rattler.

LOL Yeah that's why he's the HC of an NFL franchise and you make shit takes on the internet. Im sure you know better than he does.

Remind me how many SB rings you got again?

Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss is apparently still trying to stay at Ole Miss but may be rejected and forced into the Draft where he would immediately be QB2.

15th post
Chambliss was allowed to stay at Ole Miss.

The difference between the value of the 1st pick, the Raiders, and the second pick, the Jets, is enormous....

Chambliss was QB2. Now it is Pavia.

Will the Jets take Pavia at #2 or go FA at QB?

Pavia isnt top 10 let alone 2.

You said he wasn't even a Heisman candidate....

LOL!!!

He didn’t deserve a Heisman nod imo.

How much are you willing to bet Pavia isn’t the 2nd QB off the board?
