A just-released APpoll has dissaproval for Obama's handling of health care at a record high of 52%, with just 34% approval of the attempted health care reform. - and 49% of those polled now dissaprove of the overall job Obama is doing as president.

couldn't this disaproving be because of certain scare tactics and media "reports"?
think about it. maybe if everyone read and understood the legislation it would change. but political pundits (mostly on the right but not all) report it slanted to one side, instead of just the facts bare and simple.

My hope is Obama tonight will say, in his speech to the joint session, that what we really need are home repair and improvement instead of tearing down the whole house and building in its place a new, trillion dollar one.

A new trillion dollar one that might still have the leaky roof, sagging porch steps, bad plumbing and electrical, and ratty old carpet.

He could get most everyone except the most partisan Obama haters behind him if he did this, scrapped all the old plans and proposed a fresh approach. A fresh approach that builds on the good things about our medical system, and repairs the bad ones. Addressing fraud is one of the biggies in this that none of the proposed bills has talked about, for example.

Because most people DO want reform. They're not, as branded, "opponents of reform" they are opponents of the plans already stated in various House and Senate bills.
