With all the hatred I see against Obama, I think to myself, "I wonder if these guys even think W. was a better president?".

Who do you think was a better president?

All 43 before this idiot.

Are you trying to claim that racism is behind the hatred of Obama?

If so, how do you explain the much greater hatred for W?

Both men are liars, cheats, and fools....like nearly all our presidents. Do you conclude that I am racist?

While Obama isn't good, he is easily better than Bush. Bush was handed no wars and a balanced budget. He then commenced damaging our country. Obama was handed 2 wars and out of control spending. He has gotten us out of one of the wars.

Which guys? For some on this board, do you really wonder?

I think it is too early to rank either President but imo, Bush will be lower third and Obama will be upper third.

Bush: Average unemploment 5%. AAA credit rating. Won 2 wars. Hobbled al Qaeda. Solved recession in 18 months or less.
Obama: Average UE rate 9%. Lowest workforce participation rate since 1970s. Lost 2 wars. Extended recession for 4 years. First lowered credit rating in US history. Illegal action on NLRB. Repeated scandals. Spent more than any other president.

Yeah, Obama will be in the upper third. Along with Herbert Hoover and Warren Harding.

You are a lying *****

Bush was handed the worst crash of a Market (the NASDAQ) in American History.

Think the 'Daq isn't big? Three of the top five biggest Companies on earth, Apple, Microsoft and Google are on the 'Daq.

THE worst crash in History. And a recession

Last U.S. Recession Began Under Clinton, Economy Panel May Say - Bloomberg

Then there was that guy named Usama bin Lden that the rapist had a chance to kill THREE times and pussied out on.

You are lying, ignorant, stupid piece of shit.

You can knock Bush for a lot of things. Some of which I will agree with you.

But you are just another dimocrap -- A lying scumbag.

And stupid.

dimocraps are the scum of the earth

History will show that Bush did the right thing even though it made him unpopular as a president.

History will show that Obama did many wrong things because he was very much wrapped up in being popular as a president.

That's my opinion and you can all argue it and say I am a fool.....but it wont be worth it because everything I see you saying wants me to say you are a fool.

And in the end, neither of our opinions will change.

Bush was almost as bad, especially fiscally... Obamalama has taken bad just a bit farther.. hell, I am a conservative and I rank Clinton equal to W... and that is a hard thing to swallow.. I have to give one thing to old lying, fornicating Slick Willy, he would work across the aisle.. not that everything the REPs compromised on was a good thing, and not that Slick went conservative.. but he at least worked WITH congress

It's absolutely true. Obama is a poll driven president. Everything he does is dictated by politics. Bush did things that were not popular but he felt were right. I can disagree with some (extending TARP to automakers) and agree with others (Iraq surge). But overall he was a very principled president who was handed some tough circumstances.

Debt when Bush left office: 10T
Current debt:17T
How do you call that going "a bit farther"? IT is deficit spending on steroids. The deficit as well is nowhere near where Bush had it before the recession.
Clinton was interested in Clinton. If that meant working with the GOP, he'd do that. The things he is remembered for are largely GOP initiatives. Obama has no ability to see people who disagree with him as anything other than enemies. And probably racists.

I am not saying Obamalama or Clinton was a good president.. Bush was no great one either.. and i will not say that I think he was good just because he had a R after his name.. he was a horrible fiscal president, who stuck to his guns, tried to act honorably, and made some mistakes domestically and internationally... Obamalama is a spending freak, we know this.. Bush was warned that if he cut taxes he needed to cut spending.. he ignored that.. a horrible fiscal policy

Bush in the first term was saddled with a GOP Congress that just couldnt say no to spending. He refused to be the adult in the room and veto the bills. For that he deserves criticism, I agree.
But he had many important decisions to make and he wasn't going to get them all right. But he got many of the important ones right (imagine if he had listened to virtually everyone else telling him the war in Iraq was lost).

Bush won two wars & Obama lost two. Tgere were FOUR, not two? For now, too early, Bush II looking like bottom 20%, Obama, top 80%. :eusa_whistle:

A lot of which Bush was criticized for he did while working with congress. He listened to the American People. He pushed Amnesty for the left and listened to the right.

A lot of which Obama is criticized for he did without a concern for the opinion of congress...and when he is criticized, he lies his way out of it and when congress complains he tells the world that congress gets wrapped up in phony scandals...successfully changing the dialogue from Obama lies to congress witch hunts.

And he does NOTHING for the right but criticize them.

It is going to be difficult for Obama to defend his decisions when they start to show signs of failure when he is out of office. He will always have his legacy as the first Black President. That in itself will keep him high in the rankings.....but his policies will show to have very little positive affect on the Unites States.

May well be; Bush may look better in hindsight also. Nixon looks better to me now, in hindsight. His paranoia & trickery less important that what he accomplished.

Funny that this is even discussed. Bush burned his way through a budget surplus like it was his own personal petty cash fund and when he left office, left an enormous deficit and two enormous failed wars.

In spite of the often-stated goal of the R party to screw the president and country, Obama has managed to add jobs every single month and grow the economy.

There's one set of standards by which some judge Bush and another by which they judge Obama. The latest is the idiotic belief that a bearded father of a rescued American is bringing Muslim down on us by what he said on the WH steps while Bush grinned idiotically on at least 4 separate occasions when the exact same words were uttered by his guests.

Bush was a complete failure and doesn't dare step out of his house. His own party, his own brother pretend not to know him. Most of this country feels the same way.

Exactly my point.

Initiatives may sound good and people applaud them when they are enacted....

But usually the President is out of office when they prove to be pipe dreams.

Heck, with a super majority, a President can make himself popular by giving all Americans 50K.....but when it runs the country into bankruptcy 5 years later, his popularity drops like a brick.

I believe the ACA is going to prove to be exactly what the GOP warned about during the debate. Insurance firms will peter out, doctors will become a shortage, rates will skyrocket, it will be a strain on the deficit and we will wind up with a single payer system. And we saw how well the US handles a single payer system with the VA.

I believe when all Obama leaves office, the floodgates will open regarding Benghazi.....and I believe we will find out that he was with his campaign that night...as he likely would have been the night before a big rally like the one he had the next day. And I believe it will be revealed that his campaign team told him how sending in air support would be a bad idea for his campaign...especially if it fails....and that is why he did not immediately order the military to get the ball rolling. And if it is true, and found out that he made a policy decision based on the advice of a campaign manager, his presidency will be seen as a dark time in our history.

Then there is the IRS, Bergdahl and the VA.

All of that may point to his administration.

Time will tell.
