Nothing generates unemployment like liberal policy

Walmart Closes LA Store Over $15 Minimum Wage - Breitbart

You deranged NaziCons would rather taxpayers continue to subsidize Walmart employees than see them paid a living wage.
Lakhota - how much are those employees earning now that they have NO job to go to? Isn't $6 per hour better than $0 per hour? Or would you rather lie than admit the obvious?

Well, according to your logic - let's just pay everyone $1.00 per hour and we can have full employment.
Well according to yours....let's pay everyone $100,000 per year and we can have no employment. Which plan sounds better to you? You can't collect that beautiful six-figure minimum wage if there is no job to he hired for.

Employees should be paid enough that taxpayers don't have to subsidize them with food stamps and medicaid.

over 40 million on foodstamps for a record period of time and 93 million not working...heck of a job Brownie
You can thank corporate America for a job well done...and the trickle theory some idiot named Reagan put the nation on...
And yet Reagan took over the second worst economy in U.S. history (thanks to liberals like Jimmy Carter) and created one of the most successful economies in world history. In fact, he created an economic tidal wave that the U.S. rode for about 20 years until Clinton's 1997 Community Reinvestment Act eventually crashed the economy with the housing bubble. Then Obama stepped in and added as much to the national debt (over $9 trillion) in 7 years as all presidents in U.S. history combined added ($10 trillion) in 230 years. But hey...don't let those pesky little facts slow you down Moon!

You mean, drove the economy further underground, before he started playing nice with Tip O'Neill.

In other words - there is no denying what Reagan did so find the highest elected Democrat and try to credit him for the conservative policies that were responsible for the greatest economic turnaround in world history? You might want to brush up on your history a bit - Reagan routinely aimed for and received 90% of what he wanted in exchange for relenting on the other 10%. It was a tidal wave of conservative policy and it created (as it always does) a booming, robust, thriving economy.

Meanwhile, liberal policy was implemented in full in Cuba over 60 years ago - and the people have wallowed in poverty and misery ever since. Those same liberal policies collapsed the former U.S.S.R., Cambodia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, etc. They were also implemented in Detroit (over 60 straight years of Democrat mayors and Democrat-controlled city council, not to mention the center of the universe when it comes to powerful unions) and....well....the city is a miserable hell-hole that had to file for bankruptcy. You can ignore reality all you want, but it won't change it. The policies you support will create extreme poverty and misery no matter how much you close your eyes tightly and wish it weren't true.

So tell me Lakhota - how much are those former Walmart employees bringing home per week now? Did your liberal policy reduce or increase the subsidies the American people are now providing them? Be honest.

selfish libtards. So for a staff of a few hundred at one store they ruin it for THOUSANDS of daily shoppers with families (so lets say for example thats 5,000 shoppers a week. The math is 5,000 families of 4 = 20,000 people that rely on this one walmart). So staff of a few hundred is more important than 20,000. Nice libs.

Inflation dropped under Reagan. Who's spending? Federal spending went up 1.3% GDP. Personal spending went way up, but so did personal debt (yay credit cards and auto loans), so kind of a wash. Good for the economy but not so good for the consumer whos eyes were bigger than their pocketbooks.

Inflation dropped... from Carter levels. Spending went up... from Carter levels! A real conservative icon, right?

That's what I said. Inflation dropped, fed spending rose over a percent and consumer spending went through the roof (and consumer debt). We also quit hearing about the misery index, as it dropped almost 10%.

Really, then how do you explain all the OTHER Walmarts that were closed in Right To Work, no minimum wage states?

The economy SUCKS under Obungles....

Any other Dumbass questions???

Really? So 4.9% unemployment compared to the 10% unemployment Bush left us with, the Dow at 17,000 compared to the 6000 Bush left it at... 28 consecutive quarters of GDP Growth compared to GDP shrinkage under Bush...

I mean, I'm sure your life sucks under Obama, but that's on you.

So again, how is it, if not having a minimum wage or unions builds jobs, that Walmart is closing a bunch of their stores in Jesus-Land?

Spin it how you want Obama is a failure!

Worse than Bush! And you voted worse than Bush Twice!

Why do you use an edited chart to make your point instead of looking at the OVERALL Trend?

The Labor force Participation rate has been declining since 1999.

Part of the reason for that is our labor force is aging out. Part of it is bad trade treaties supported by both sides are moving jobs to third world countries.

Clearly you have no idea what "communism" is. Apparently you get your political concepts from Hollywood movies.

By the way - who was responsible for the "communism" in Detroit? :eusa_whistle:

I guess some people have forgotten 8 short years ago
You mean when the debt was $9 trillion less and 93 million Americans hadn't given up and dropped out of the workforce? Yeah...I think a lot of liberals choose to forget inconvenient facts...

The Labor Force Participation rate is about 1.9% lower than December 2008, despite 10,00 baby boomers retiring EVERY DAY!

Civilian Labor Force Participation Rate
Unfortunately that is due to people dropping out of the labor force altogether rather than because they found gainful employment. A fact that Obama tragically celebrates because

A.) It makes people like you believe his unemployment numbers are lower and thus his policies are a "success".

B.) It forces more and more people onto the government plantation where they are beholden to government for their most basic needs.

Again - you might want to check your history. Inflation had hit record levels under Jimmy Carter. It plummeted under Ronald Reagan. As did unemployment, interest rates, etc.

Here is the bottom line: you can have "trickle down economics" which creates prosperity for all (conservative free market policies), or you can have "flood up poverty" which creates poverty and misery for all (liberal socialist policies).

In the history of the world, no poor person has ever created a single job. Ever. 100% of every job ever created came from wealthy people. It one of the many facts liberals want to ignore. Ideology over prosperity with the left. It's such a shame that they would rather see human suffering because of their envy of the wealthy.

Ideology over prosperity with the left. It's such a shame that they would rather see human suffering because of their envy of the wealthy.

The wealthy don't "Create jobs", consumer demand creates jobs.

Give you an example. Let's say a rich guy wants to open a factory making Shit Sandwiches.

Now, he can buy the equipment and hire the people and buy the shit and the bread, but at the end of the day, no one wants to buy a shit sandwich, so he's going to run out of money and have to lay everyone off.

Conversely, it you have a factory that makes 'That thing everyone wants", the only way they can buy it is if they are making good money to buy it. You can lower costs by replacing the people with machines and moving that factory to Shitstainistan to save on labor costs and not have to deal with those pesky environmental regulations, but at the end of the day, if no one has any money because the rich have eliminated the good paying jobs, you aren't going to make any money selling it because no one can afford it.

So, no, it's really a lot more important for people to have jobs that pay a living wage than it is to have rich assholes making shit sandwiches.

Happy to have cleared that up for you, because you still seem a little confused.

Liberal policy creates "stealth" unemployment by hiding the millions that have given up looking for work and count ANY lame low pay job the same as a good paying job. That makes their numbers look waaaaaaaay better than reality. Unfortunately those glowing unemployment/job numbers don't help the working class many of whom work two jobs and still struggle.

More myth over substance

U3 is measured the same as it has always been....so is U6
Both are down 5-6%

Nothing in the labor statistics says a majority of the jobs are low paying or part time

The only one making shit sandwiches is your boy. You sure eat plenty of them.
