Not surprisingly, Obama nailed it.

No it wasn’t legally binding

It was not. It was not ratified by Congress
However, signed but unratified treaties may create a legal obligation to refrain from acts that defeat the treaty's purpose, and non-binding instruments (like declarations) can create political commitments or reflect customary law

Executive Agreements: In the US, the president may enter into agreements that do not require Senate ratification, which can be legally binding under international law,

You are gonna have to link to that happening
As of March 2026, the G7 and EU maintain a price cap on Russian sea-borne crude oil and petroleum products to restrict Moscow's war funding while keeping global energy flowing. The mechanism, updated in 2026, sets the cap at 15% lower than the average market price

As of February 1, 2026, a new dynamic price cap mechanism for Russian crude oil will be implemented, setting the cap at $44.10 per barrel. This cap is designed to ensure it remains 15% below the average market price of Urals crude oil, which is recalculated every 22 weeks. The mechanism aims to constrain Russia's energy revenues while maintaining market stability and is subject to regular review by the EU Commission.

THE GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL: On August 3, all six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates – publically endorsed the Iran nuclear deal during a visit to the region by Secretary of State John Kerry. Speaking on behalf of the Council, Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid bin Mohammed al- Attiyah said of the deal: “This was the best option among other options — to come up with a solution . . . through dialogue…We are confident that all the efforts that have been exerted make this region very secure, very stable.”

Iran never signed the deal.

Yeah right. Except for the part in the agreement that says Iran will never be allowed to manufacture a nuclear bomb.
When it sunsetted after 10 years they were free to build all they want, Simp.

It wasn’t a treaty.

Trump lifted the sanctions against Russia, Venezuela and Iran, so they can sell their oil for hundreds of millions of dollars a day.

You mean like that?

Biden handed them money when he lifted sanctions on them or not?
Is Trump handing them billions of dollars?

I didn't say he was a nice guy, but he seemed to be a man of his word, since as long as he was in charge, Iran didn't make a nuclear weapon. Even while always being weeks or months away from doing so, since the 1990's.

A man of his word?
Unleashing a wave of terror attacks around the world for nearly 40 years.
Are you sad he's dead?

Are you sad he's dead?
In a way yes.
He was against Iran building nuclear weapons, while his son (heir) is for Iran building nuclear weapons.

You've got to be kidding me ...

Did Obama pay them out of the money we held?
The up to $4.4 million compensation for each surviving U.S. hostage from the 1979 Iran crisis came from the United States Victims of State Sponsored Terrorism Fund. This fund was primarily financed by penalties and fines paid by companies violating U.S. sanctions,

Obama didn't give them money out of the Iranian funds we held?
No Iranian money to any of their other victims either?

You believe he was against building nuclear weapons? Because he said so to infidels?

Because for 35 years while he called the shots, in which Iran was weeks or months away from building a nuclear weapon he never let them build one
