Well DeSantis is asking for the feds to pick up a bigger slice of Medicaid temporarily. That's what the feds did in 08 btw. I'd agree. Miss's only Trauma 1 facility has lost 100 million treating covid patients.

But NY, Ill and Calf are asking for pretty much the same thing. They can pay teachers if they don't have to pay for medical expenses


That was the point of putting this on the sarcasm thread. I mean Fla could enact an income tax, and be "responsible." And yeah public unions held up the three dem states.

I realize McConnell was not going to negotiate and take a position unpopular with his Kentucky voters, because in the past he reached a bipartisan deal with Schumer only to see Trump abandon the terms that he'd initially agreed to. But imo it was just irresponsible to not do what a dem potus and a dem congress did not Medicaid before.
