Thats crazy!!
I've used double boilers plenty of times without issue.
I'll definitely pay more attention in the future.
I just dont get how pressure could build to point of it exploding like that.
It's not like it's a pressure cooker so I dont understand how pressure could build considering the upper pot is just sitting there.
You'd think the pressure would be released rather easily.
