I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain it to you. What the hell are you talking about?
You have no idea. I thought so.I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain it to you.
How is it those who arent current teachers know more about how classrooms run than those that actually are teaching? We have a bunch of experts here who have never taught but surely know what its like. Why dont they teach then? You have no idea. I thought so.

Yes--That is true--It should also be true of Gov't So-Called "Workers"![]()
Teachers union reveals true colors behind closed doors at annual convention
America's largest teachers union faces criticism for prioritizing political activism over education, accelerating the exodus to alternative schoolswww.foxnews.com
This is not surprising to anyone who follows the NEA's actions over time - especially during the Pandemic - but the conclusion is unavoidable that teachers' unions are the worst thing that ever happened to public education. Their MISSION is political indoctrination (after screwing the taxpayers, of course).
A pox on every legislator who ever voted to allow teachers to form and join unions. It is incompatible with education.

You overestimate their power. That is always the case with those who bash education in general.
The biggest problem that I have with what you believe is that the fault of not firing bad teachers is the poor quality of the administrators and school boards. I was an assistant principal for two years and attempted to fire two teachers who were shiftless and an alcoholic. I fired the two teachers because I gave them due process and proved they sucked at their job. The school board had no option but to agree once they had their hearing. I had my ducks in a row.
You have heard of the infamous "rubber room" in NYC where teachers were awaiting their hearings for many months and sometimes years? The fault was with the people accusing the teachers because they did not have any evidence of the charges they were trying to stick those teachers with. I am certain there was evidence, but they botched the investigations, meaning had they gone forward, they would have had to admit the charges were not valid.
You are talking about the national unions, weren't you? The NEA and AFT run blue cities and states, but they have little impact out here in flyover country. No, I do not. Not in places like NYC, Boston, Chicago and other large blue cities.

The problem is school administration, mostly the school boards, who kowtow to unions when they should limit their influence. The Democratic politicians are to blame for enacting stupid laws requiring instruction in their pet projects, mostly liberal in nature.Never the Unions fault, never the teacher's fault, never the politicians fault.....

The democrat candidate would win most of the time in Boston (except for governor sometimes) if the unions didn't give corrupt politicians a dime. No, I do not. Not in places like NYC, Boston, Chicago and other large blue cities.
You know Boston is not all that big compared to cesspools like NYC and Chicago, right? No, I do not. Not in places like NYC, Boston, Chicago and other large blue cities.
