We are at least 25 years past the time that all schools should have had ample armed security, and I would have absolutely no problem with a contingent of well trained teachers carrying concealed to boot.

Even in body armor getting hit will hurt. Simple things such as pkp fire extinguishes can also blind him. Wasp spray. Some tasers have longer range. A coffee pot full of hot water.

Teachers getting defense training gives a better chance of survival than being a sitting duck.

I saw a state trooper being interviewed. He said the shooter was confronted when he first tried to enter the school but he had body armor and was able to gain entry into the school and a classroom where he barricaded himself in and began killing everyone in the room he could, before he was shot a killed.

They should have armed security in every school. It works for Israel. The are 20 million Veterans in this country most would volunteer to guard a school for free, but you ******* loons would never go for this because safe schools are not the ultimate goal.

In part, this was another example of what would happen if Democrats get their way and law-abiding citizens were disarmed -- only criminals and insane nutbags like this latest mentay ill murdeting freak (and our insane oppressive government) would have guns.

Thanks to Democrats opposing armed officers (or guards) in schools or well-screened / trained teachers being allowed to conceal carry or have a weapon locked away securely when at school, these kids and teachers were helpless 'fish in a barrel', ripe for slaughter.

Let's say a law existed making owning a gun illegal. Does anyone really think this obviously insane shooter would have adhered to this law,that the law would have prevented the shooting?

Democrat-run cities have some of the strictest gun laws in the nation...how's that working out in Chicago where they continue to set murder records, hVe 'mass shootings' almost weekly, where women, children, and BABIES are getting shot and killed in drive-bys and shootouts by thugs with illegally purchased / owned guns, who could not give a damn what current laws exist or what future laws Democrats will pass. They can't even enforce the laws they have passed now.

'Never let a crisis go to waste', though, right Democrats / snowflakes? Democrats were already screaming for new gun laws, for gun confiscation, & repeal of the 2nd amendment before the bodies of the 19 kids and 2 teachers killed were cold.

Was EVERYTHING that cod have been done to protect these kids done shy of these Democrat agenda items?

The school system was already monitoring social media for anything that would suggest a possible attack...and they missed the shooter's disturbing social media posts / Ctivity.

Did the school have a 'comprehensive plan' for such a situation as this?
- Yes...it faed.

Was the school 'fortified', have designs and safety measures in place.
- No

Were there armed police or hired security at the school to immediately respond/ protect the kids and teachers?
- No...Democrats and liberals believe in DEFUNDING THE POLICE, remember?! They didn't even have a social worker - with whom they wanted to replace the police - on duty.

So the kids and teachers were unarmed (teachers), unprotected, and the closest police to respond were able to get to the school after a dozen or more kids and two teachers were dead and the shooter had barricaded himself somewhere in the school....

....but Democrats, who are responsible for some of the strictest gun laws in cities withsome of the worst gun crime and murder rates inthe country,believe disarming law-abiding citizens would have prevented this shooting and will prevent any more from happening....
