I'm still guessing Trump. Then again, I'm lousy at poltical predictions. And football score predictions.

The makeup of Congress will be key. Unchecked power could be a disaster in either direction.

Of course they can. All they have to do is pass legislation in Congress to make it legal nationwide. No amendment is required.

They didn't vacate three SCOTUS seats, they did not fill those seats, and they certainly didn't write the constitution where the Fed is given NO SAY over abortions. Everything democrats do is for party and social engineering. You are bitching that the conservatives on the SC did the RIGHT, LEGAL thing to fix a decades-old injustice to federal law for the SAKE of the law, as JUSTICES, without considering the impact on the republican party's next election as democrats would have, because all democrats are about is appeasing voters and saying what they want to hear to remain in power.

Exactly what would be the constitutional foundation for such legislation? Congress can't pass laws without the constitutional authority. And the court said in Dobbs, that the constitutional authority doesn't exist on the federal level.

To be perfectly honest with you I don't know how the 2016 election went because I wasn't really all that politics back then and didn't start voting until 2020. I do know this much though, if Kamala Harris does win, then time for some more interesting speeches to say the least.
