How the government can end its continuing battle with racism over monuments.
They can end their continuous battle with this issue once and for all just get rid of all statues and monuments don't have anymore

Not ALL the monuments!

No.......

The problem with that, is you are ignoring how the people will react to that. All that would do, is infuriate the majority of the public.

The solution is... shut up about it, and move on.

Not one single person anywhere, and certainly no black person anywhere, is going to have their life improved by removing a statue. No one is going to wake up with a new car, or suddenly get a pay raise because their employer came in "Hey they removed that racists statue, so now I can pay you more money!".

Not going to happen. No one anywhere will have their life improved by even the smallest of tiny bits.

So no positives from this.

On the negative... tons of people are going to see this as an attack on their cultural heritage. No matter what you think... those statues are there as part of our countries history. The good and the bad.

Removing that is just going to make people hate those that are trying to remove history. It's going to breed racism, contempt, distrust, dis-unity, and pure hatred.

So, no upside to removing statues, and tons of downside.

The solution is... let it go. Making this political is just going to drive more people to hate each other. That is the only possible outcome from this push to remove statues.

When will Duke University commit the statue of Confederate sailor Washington Duke to he flames? Not only did the Duke Family rebel, but they manufactured cigarettes. Its long past time to not just get rid of the statue but to return the blood money to the estate and change the name of the school to something less racist like Mumia University.

Or how about we quit honoring the treason of the confederacy with public monuments? It's long past time we reexamine what we choose to honor in this country.

The Confederates were exonerated of "Treason". In fact, Liberal Extremist President Jimmy Carter exonerated the last one-President Jeff Davis- over 40 years ago.

Simple solution. Leave decisions about statues and monuments up to the folks who pay for their maintenance. Confederate statues should be moved to a privately owned setting such as Stone Mountain for display since the people who own and maintain them don't want them anymore.

It was treason by any definition you care to use. Perhaps the worst betrayal was the wild promises they made to the landless, slaveless dirt farmers who actually fought for the confederacy. It is probably no coincidence that the bulk of confederate monuments were built after the last veteran died.

When did Stone Mountain become a private domain?

The definition I use for "Treason" is being tried and convicted by a jury of one's peers with a minimum of 2 witnesses to the same overt act.

The last rebel soldier died in 1958

OK, owned by the state and operated by a private firm on a long term lease.

No, it's not. THe people that defeated the Confederacy had a policy of reconciliation and no one today has the Moral Authority to renege on that choice.

Notice how the leftists are throwing treason in more frequently? They're starting to figure out it's their party thats tied to the statues.

It's been way long enough to reconcile the rifts caused bt the civil war. It is now time to take care of the modern rifts caused by the racist fucks who are really the only people who still care about these monuments.

That doesn't include having statues since the power of the old order is dead the only thing that keeps it alive is ironically republicans...
