Why so much angst about the bottom 1-2% of hourly workers?
Toddsterpatriot, Congressional Budget Office’s , (i.e. CBO's) reports regarding the federal minimum wage rate indicate although it legally requires no less than the precise minimum rate, increases of that minimum rate substantially affect all USA’s lower wage rates. CBO considered anything less than $20 per hour in 2018, as being lower wage rates. That entails much more than 1 or 2% of USA’s entire work force. Respectfully, Supposn
What about all those who have had to go to school to reach 20 bucks an hour?
Do you think it's fair to those people?
Of course it isnt. They now need to be paid more than twice than that to make it right.
What do you think thats going to do to prices across the board?
Take a Nurse for example. Many of them dont make more than 20 bucks an hour. To be fair as you liberals claim she/he is now worth 40 bucks and hour.
Whose fault is it wages have not beat or kept up with inflation since the Clinton administration, alleged capitalist right wingers?
That would be the fault of to many immigrants flooding the low end job market.
The fault of Individuals pursuing their Liberty or right wing bigotry? Raise the minimum wage. Why has it not been raised for so long? If the minimum wage had kept up with inflation it would be around eighteen dollars an hour.
I've never worked for minimum wage in my life and I'm a high school drop out.
lol. I can resort to the fewest fallacies in every argument I have had; why can't you?

Minimum wage rate and labors’ market prices.

Products “Market prices” are affecting by various factors. Enforcement of government laws affecting regarding trade or contracts regarding a product, is often such a price affecting factor. Those using the term ‘market rates” applicable to a legally enforced minimum wage rate within a marketplace, are referring to a theoretical, indefinite, (i.e. not actually existing) price that excludes governments’ minimum wage laws as not existing.

Regardless of some persons preferences, governments’ minimum wage laws are existing factors applicable within marketplaces. Respectfully, Supposn
Why so much angst about the bottom 1-2% of hourly workers?
Why so much angst from right wingers about taxes?
Because we dont like our money to be stolen and given to the lazy?
lol. Employment is at-will. Stop whining.
Exactly.
If you dont have the will to better your life than you're doomed to work min wage jobs your whole life.
Exactly, stop whining about taxes.

What's the average wage in the Congressional Budget Office?
What's the mean wage in the Congressional Budget Office?
You can bet they make way more than minimum wage.
Independent, I suppose they do; but the Congressional Budget Office’s considerations were based upon USA’S average and median wage rates. Respectfully, Supposn
As long as our borders are open and non-Americans replace Americans in the workforce and various groups of people would rather hang out than study, people will always be subject to poverty level wages.
Proof, right wingers don't believe in freer trade just their socialism on a national basis. Why be hypocrites in socialism threads, Right Wingers?
I don't believe in Free Trade, I believe in Comparative Advantage.
Comparative Advantage renders Minimum Wage unnecessary.

Where we disagree, based on your responses to my previous posts, is that I believe the US has borders and Citizens while you think the US is open to everyone.
Trespassers are not Immigrants.
Where we disagree is in being legal to the laws. We don't have an Immigration clause and should have no illegals or illegal underclass. Natural rights means nothing to the right wing, just their socialism on a national and international basis.
I believe you're attempting to throw a sinker ball into this discussion.
When you say, should have no illegals or illegal underclass, do you mean guard our borders or that everyone who touches US soil automatically becomes a US citizen?
I mean upgrade Ellis and Angel Islands to also help with pandemic mitigation.
Dude....you're a fuken first class retard.
lol. I win by resorting to the fewest fallacies. Thanks for making it so easy.

The minimum wage should be zero , I was just reading an article no where in the USA can a person afford a one bedroom apartment on minimum wage..so the $12 dollar minimum wage in Seattle is useless.
Bear513, to the extent of its purchasing power, the federal minimum wage rate reduces poverty among our working-poor. Respectfully, Supposn

"We all do better when we all do better".
here--education!!!
a lot of these '''''poooor''' people are concentrating on the police!!!!!!!!!!! and not the REAL problem = education = they are idiots
Yet, it is right wingers who claim the minimum wage should be zero; go figure.
Because it is zero..

It doesn't take even a liberal brain to figure out no matter what the minimum wage is it's still zero.

In America's FDR days, the High School dropout would become a tradesman making a decent living.
...

In fdr’s days? That drop out would be just as likely to spend all day standing in line for a bowl of soup, if he weren’t killed or thrown into a concentration camp.
