Florida also has a the 3rd highest number of homicides, by a long shot. New York State, which has a little over a million people fewer than Florida, has HALF the number of murders. California, whose population is 33% higher than the population of Texas, has less than 100 fewer murders than California.
I don't own a car so gas prices are not a problem for me, except as they relate to transportation costs in general, like higher prices for things to be transported to the stores.
