Do you really want some truth? I know that the democrat base wants their leaders to pushback and fight against Trump. However, your democrat leaders pick the DUMBEST arguments to fight Trump on. This shutdown is just another example of this. These things are what Schumer and the democrats in the Senate are fighting for:

Returning federal funding for NPR and PBS. Who out here are clamoring for NPR and PBS to keep getting federal funding? You want to keep running? Compete like all the other TV channels and radio stations.

Premium tax credits for the ACA that was created under the American Rescue Plan Act, a COVID pandemic policy that we no longer need because we're no longer in a pandemic. Perhaps you shouldn't have tied what you hoped was permanent tax credits to a temporary event.

Take back what was passed with Medicare in the BBB. Why would Republicans pass something just to renege on it months later?

Stop Trump from pulling back funding approved by Congress if he sees that it doesn't serve in the country's best interest. This is probably the best argument the democrats have. Trump should ask for line-item veto power as a compromise.

Trump and other high-ranking Republicans claim Democrats forced the government shutdown fight because they want to give free health care to immigrants in the U.S. illegally.​
