As many of us true Conservatives stated years ago, Obamacare was just another Democrat pipe dream that could not be viable without massive government subsidies. It is estimated that 5 million people will be dropping their Obamacare along with the expiration of government subsidies. Didn't Obama promise in the most famous LIE about the ACA that we were going to SAVE $2500 per year in health care costs?

We got an early clue just how bad it was going to be. The Obamacare website itself Healthcare.gov took 2 billion dollars to complete when experienced website developers said it should have taken no more than 10 million to complete.

Many can’t afford it without the subsidy.

So now they go to the county hospitals where they pay nothing and taxpayers for the states now pay the entire bill instead of a subsidy that costs fractions of a penny for each federal taxpayer.

You’re paying more now than you would have under Obamacare. Enjoy your “victory” moron.

Or Obama could have pushed Congress to pass a good bill and we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

Still chanting "Yes we can!"?

It is so rich, to hear Republicans crow about the failure of the ACA, when they do everything to disembowel it. Take those subsidies. The One, Big, Beautiful, Bill did one thing, for some strange ass reason. No subsidies during SEP's, Special Enrollment Periods. WTF? Why?

There were some good things about the ACA, and there were some bad things. But the best thing the ACA did was remove the ball and chain that was employer sponsored health insurance. And Republicans have fought like hell to bring that back. Eliminating subsidies during SEP's the biggest step they have achieved in chaining that ball back on, at least until the end of the year.

The DNC sets up all their programs to fail and then blame the GOP for the failure.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

It was a good bill. But now its been “repbliklan-ized” to where it just adds to the budget deficit instead of the responsible bill that was passed.

That is the GOP way...massive debts, an economy that is in a tailspin, and rising costs....

There was zero good about the ACA.

I think the best thing it did was allow people to stay on the parent’s insurance. My assistant (she’s moved on to become my peer at another hospital actually) was about to quit her job to take care of her special needs child who had a devastating birth defect. She was Literally 5 or 6 months away from quitting because he was going to be taken off the insurance and she would have to hire a home health nurse. Essentially, she could quit her job and stay home and spend less on his care. She would have likely have had to go on publica assistance herself to take care of her kid. Well, she was able to keep her job and her insurance and the kid flourished. He still lives at home as far as I know but they are in a far better situation than they would have been without the ACA.

As for me and the other 8,000 or so folks who work in the hospital system here in Phoenix...we didn’t see any unusual permium increases. Sure it went up by a buck or two each open enrollment (as it did stretching back into time when HMOs were formed). Most Americans kept their doctor and their insurance.

Anyway...anyone calling it a failure is simply ignorant of the facts.

If they can't afford it without the subsidy then it isn't affordable, you blithering idiot.
