the 1st century events are the refutation of judaism -
what jesus taught in the 1st century in correction of judaism and the false claims of moses ....
and no, the killing of a tree for a holiday celebration or any useless endeavor is not warranted and not relevant to the event for that reason.
.
Sad to see most professing "Christians" hold on so tightly to their love of paganism
Christmas, as celebrated today, does incorporate some traditions with pagan origins. While the date of December 25th was chosen to coincide with the Roman festival of Saturnalia and the winter solstice, many customs like gift-giving, feasting, and decorating with evergreens predate Christianity and were part of various pagan winter celebrations.
the Christ Child is not Jesus, but an Angel.![]()
Christianity is serious business. It's Pagan and more fun than Christianity.
Worshiping the Christian God as the pagans worship THEIR gods IS "off the table's for serious Christians.Pagans also breathed, ate, slept, walked and talked.
Are those off the table too?
It is LIFE OR DEATHChristianity is serious business.
Worshiping the Christian God as the pagans worship THEIR gods IS "off the table's for serious Christians.
Wouldn't it be better to follow the first century church who were His contemporaries than to adopt pagan worship practices given by the Catholic Church?
Again:
"You SHALL NOT worship the Lord your God as the nations around you worship their God's"
Now and later. It is LIFE OR DEATH
Do you see a lot of people behaving like they got Christ’s approval? Did you seek Christ’s approval before making your post?Did Christ approve?
You put a lot of effort into that post.December 21st is the winter solstice or the official first day of winter. I'm not so sure ancient Germans had the same calendar, but Yule would have been celebrated at the beginning of winter. German winters were extremely harsh. It was not common but guaranteed that some people would die through the winter. This was the last opportunity to gather everyone together because at least someone at the gathering would be dead by the end of winter. This was a time of celebration and extravagance. Some of the animals were killed to avoid feeding them for the winter so abundance of meat was a part of the Yule celebration. I'm sure gifts for children was a part of the festivities as well. It allowed the children to enjoy what little bit of life they might have left, yes even kids died during winter. They were showered with extravagance due to the reality that it might be their last chance to enjoy childhood. What symbol could encourage the celebrants upon leaving the festivities you ask? Well an evergreen tree of course. These trees did not appear to die like other trees. It stayed green year round. The green tree was a reminder to survive through the winter.
Christmas is not Christian at all. It is Pagan AF. Some churches are closed on Christmas so you can spend time with your family celebrating Yule. Family togetherness was paramount for a Yule celebration. Worshipping Christ requires being Christ centered not family centered. Let's just continue Trolling the Christians with Ancient Yuletide Carols fa la la fa la la la la. I think it is hilarious honestly.
Check for Jesus references:
"Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
‘Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Toll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
See the blazing Yule before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Follow me in merry measure,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
While I tell of Yule tide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la."
Any Jesus references?
