College basketball sucks. The nba is waaaay better. I’ll watch an nba game over college anytime.

But by far a lot of fun, second only to the Kentucky Derby.

I won't watch one MM basketball game, but I'll watch every wrestling match at the NCAA tournament, which starts this Thursday and ends Saturday.

My choice as the most overrated sporting event is the NFL draft. Talk of it fills months. I don't watch much college football and so that doesn't help with discissions of prospects.

I wrestled in that once upon a time.

The NFL draft is way too long. I like the NBA draft better, even though I rarely watch college Basketball.

How'd you do?
I almost made the consolation round, but not quite. I think I was so overwhelmed by the "holy shit, am I really here?" thing that I wasn't as focused as I should have been. But, good experience anyway. Got a chance to meet Dan Gable and all that.

Very cool. Just qualifying for nationals makes you a badass. I'll watch every match on ESPN and love every minute of it.

That is cool. What a moment for you.

I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this one. I think college basketball has the best structure to it.

Even casual fans can make a bracket and get into the spirit of the tournament.

I’m not impressed with college athletes compared to nba athletes. That and all the zone defenses in college basketball, make it more boring IMO. There’s also way too many teams and you can’t follow them all. The one thing I like about March Madness is the Cinderella storylines, but ultimately it’s not enough for me. It just isn’t my thing.

Money has destroyed NCAA Division I sports, and it sucked before it was destroyed.

Athletic scholarships are an abomination, one which no other civilized countries employ.

A tournament among teams of actual college students would be fun, just as HS basketball is fun to watch, but what they have now is just nauseating.

The expression, "March Madness," is much too kind. It is much, much worse than that.

It’s true that the athletes aren’t as good as NBA athletes.

However, I think there’s more drive and energy from the players. I think many of them know that this is the end of the line for their careers and they want to give it their all. Top-seeded teams really don’t want to shit the bed and low-seeded teams want to take advantage of their opportunity that they may not get again. There’s also more team pride considering that the players chose their teams rather than the business side of the NBA where they were selected and possibly traded around the league as a commodity.
