People identifying as gay and bisexual aren't the reason kids aren't having sex.

That's for damn sure.

I don't know why kids aren't having sex, but I believe there's probably multiple reasons.

One being that they've been told not to have sex. Like a lot.

Another being they don't have privacy, third spaces or opportunity.

Another being that kids don't socialize in person like they used to. Interpersonal connection is declining.

Internet and porn probably have a lot to do with it too.

The drive to do better is replacing what you see as the issue maybe. You expect people to work hard and then raise a family too. That idea is slowly but surely going out the window. Its one or the other perhaps. Plus the fact that about half of marriages will end in divorce with the younger one gets married the more likely divorce and all its side effects occur. So the trend is holding off until one is mature enough to handle a relationship that takes alot of work or not getting married at all. 25 years old isnt working in todays world marriage wise.

It's a general statement. I trusted that you knew I was not talking about e.r. nurses or firemen.

It doesn’t work as a general statement because Monday to Friday 9-5 jobs are not the norm for most people.

Retail and restaurants, bars and clubs, hotels and transportation would all go out of business if they tried to operate only on weekdays.

Cops, firemen and nurses. And not just ER nurses. What about the rest of the hospital? Nursing homes? All these places need housekeeping, kitchen staff, etc 7 days a week

Thinking that most workers could have jobs with no weekends shows that you have difficulty seeing the world beyond what your own narrow life experience has shown you

I wouldn't. The whole idea is to explore who you're attracted to. That would increase the frequency of people connecting.

The right just wants a scapegoat and will look for any excuse to blame LGBTQ for anything they can.

But the whole thread is premised on the idea that men in particular aren't socializing like they used to. Finding out why is probably way more important than whining about gay and bisexual people.

Most Engineer firms do something called PT20 where as long as you work less than 20 hours a week, you stay on the books as a part timer. It's done to keep the experience of senior Engineers who want to partially retire.

Right now, with everyone working so much and at all times, it is difficult to have any type of civil activity or organization.

So did I. Had 3 of my own. Theyre all 50 plus now. 1 grandchild between the 3. 2 divorced.
Having kids is a choice, not a duty to anyone. We have alot of kids in society now with defunct parents. Winder what parent im with this weekend? Mom and dad screaming at each other. Kids see that and perhaps think nope, not for me. Damage done. A result of marrying at 20 years old.

It wouldn't be an issue as much if the workplace wasn't regimented so much due to corporate fears over harassment complaints.

The line between actual harassment and clumsy dating attempts has been blurred so much men are mostly terrified to make any moves.
