But a lot of jobs AREN'T.
And we gave up our weekends, and that, imo, was a mistake and a factor contributing to our current bad situation.
Now you are onto something.

You're looking for reasons to fail....And deductibles of 5 or 10 thousand. Thats painful. Part of the problem.
Now you are onto something.
People identifying as gay and bisexual aren't the reason kids aren't having sex.Your playing a gotcha game instead of addressing his point.
If you suck, have no work ethics or drive to do better - correct.
For the rest of us - that is not true, at all
It doesn’t work as a general statement because Monday to Friday 9-5 jobs are not the norm for most people. It's a general statement. I trusted that you knew I was not talking about e.r. nurses or firemen.
IMO, that happened because workers had no leverage vs employers.
Do you agree? And why do you think that was?
I did it.The drive to do better is replacing what you see as the issue maybe. You expect people to work hard and then raise a family too. That idea is slowly but surely going out the window. Its one or the other perhaps. Plus the fact that about half of marriages will end in divorce with the younger one gets married the more likely divorce and all its side effects occur. So the trend is holding off until one is mature enough to handle a relationship that takes alot of work or not getting married at all. 25 years old isnt working in todays world marriage wise.
How many hours a week do you work?I did it.
And I did a great job at both.
And so have millions of others.
You're looking for reasons to fail....
That's weird.
Why do you WANT to see people fail?
People identifying as gay and bisexual aren't the reason kids aren't having sex.
That's for damn sure.
I don't know why kids aren't having sex, but I believe there's probably multiple reasons.
One being that they've been told not to have sex. Like a lot.
Another being they don't have privacy, third spaces or opportunity.
Another being that kids don't socialize in person like they used to. Interpersonal connection is declining.
Internet and porn probably have a lot to do with it too.
I am about half retired, I work about 24 hours a week, but get a full time salary. How many hours a week do you work?
I wouldn't. The whole idea is to explore who you're attracted to. That would increase the frequency of people connecting. If a significant porton of your peers are... twisted up in mental pretzels with questions about their "identity", and confusion about who they should even be attracted to,
I would think that WOULD contribute to making dating more difficult.
I must admit this OP kinda amazed me as I don't see it in our life or our extended family's life. Been married over half a century and maybe in that time humans have changed or is it just another OP about nothing real. Is it?.

Mankeeping Is Why Women Are Done With Dating
Researchers at Stanford have finally given a name to something many women have been dealing with for years. It’s called mankeeping.www.vice.com
I am about half retired, I work about 24 hours a week, but get a full time salary.
This is due to over 30 years experience. I am paid more for who and what I know than what I do. The younger folks do the doing. As it should be
How much did you work when you were raising a family? How much did your spouse work when raising a family?I am about half retired, I work about 24 hours a week, but get a full time salary.

It doesn’t work as a general statement because Monday to Friday 9-5 jobs are not the norm for most people.
Retail and restaurants, bars and clubs, hotels and transportation would all go out of business if they tried to operate only on weekdays.
Cops, firemen and nurses. And not just ER nurses. What about the rest of the hospital? Nursing homes? All these places need housekeeping, kitchen staff, etc 7 days a week
Thinking that most workers could have jobs with no weekends shows that you have difficulty seeing the world beyond what your own narrow life experience has shown you
I did it.
And I did a great job at both.
And so have millions of others for generations.
I understand this generation thinks they shouldn't have to, but also think it won't have any effects. Because they are woke hivemind stupid
I cant agree more.
We NEED time for people to have a community and socialize.
Right now, with everyone working so much and at all times, it is difficult to have any type of civil activity or organization.
