Male Lonliness Epidemic?

They must be huge!

Young men do face a loneliness epidemic. It is a paradoxical. It is paradoxical in the sense that young men, especially young white men, spend a great portion of their day playing online video games and communicating with other gamers, but once they log off, they are alone in their room. The lack of interpersonal relationships and the increasing disappearance of socialization among their peers has increased this sense of isolation. It is the curse of the Internet. Women are by nature more open to interpersonal relationships and social environments. So they are not as affected by the online scourge. Not yet anyway. Give it time.

I've been hearing that there is some kind of disparity between young men and women in terms of "lonliness." Is this a real thing? I'm not so sure.

Given that we allow pornography to fly around the internet, and that so many young men are literally addicted to it. And given that it skews your view of the stronger (while at the same time fairer....better all around) sex I can see this happening.

I think the way things are going.....there's gonna be a lot of lonely women out there too.

look at it this way; women now are driving more and more, while still having huge social circles.
men on the other hand, play computer games and/or work hard, trying to be the protector and provider for the future family.

and neither have the money for online dating websites with relationship verification & coaching services.
maybe, in order to solve the loneliness problem, we should have gender-mixed teams of sports competing with eachother.

You're confusing sex with companionship.

Let's see: In my 20s I was in college then living outside the US (and anything but lonely). In my 30s I was living with my wife in a veeeeeeery small apartment near the beach. Lather, rinse, repeat. Now living with the wife and two sons. Most days interacting with hundreds of people. A little "lonely" now and then would be nice.

It's lonely at the top.

Getting a nut isn't the same as finding someone who you can sleep with and don't mind waking up to.

Pay a little extra and you can wake up with a different one every morning.

And it still costs less than a divorce.
