A solution without a problem. Having worked in DoD procurement for 5 years (albeit a generation or two ago), foreign purchases are fairly rare, and when they do occur it is simply a matter of no U.S. provider being available. Every single non-U.S. purchase has to be fully justified (a pain in the ass, of course), and it has been that way for longer than Our Exalted President has been "in government service." And saving money is NOT a legal justification under the Buy America Act.

One thing that does occur, for example, is that you cannot buy large steel castings in the U.S., BECAUSE OSHA SHUT DOWN ALL OUR BIG FOUNDRIES FIFTY YEARS AGO.

Biden and his Lefty supporters couldn't care less about people who work for a living in the private sector, as anyone not wearing blinders has already deduced.

I’m guessing purchasing foreign products is much more common today, since the US economy doesn’t make the range of products it once did. In part, thanks to our corrupt system.

1. having National Guard troops sleeping on the floor of an automobile-exhaust infested, cold parking garage floor,
2. by allowing our gas prices to skyrocket, by reducing our oil supply,
3. by inviting millions of illegal aliens into the country
4. by allowing millions of Muslims from terrorist countries, to come here.
5. by locking in election fraud, all designed to rig elections for Democrats ( Nationwide mail-in voting, banning restrictions on ballot harvesting, banning voter ID, ,DC Statehood roadwork, allowing criminal voters) -it’s all in here in a new bill drafted by Democrats entitled the “For the People Act of 2021“. I'm not so sure about that. "encouraging" (your word, not mine) is in the present tense. So is Biden doing what you say RIGHT NOW ? The OP link article says "plans to" That refers to the FUTURE. Something not yet done.

Also, even if these so-called reforms were to be enacted, at what quantity would they affect American manufactureres vs the quantity of US manufacturerers harmed by Biden's coziness with China, and his pro-China trade policies ? I don't see the reduction in China imports from his whole 8 years as VP, compared to 1 month of what Trump accomplished. The OP's link article slams President Trump's activity toward trade with China while curiously omitting the fact that Trump REDUCED China imports by Billions$$$$.
