One is an extreme right shift in the Republican party - due to an extreme conservative right-wing movement called MAGA. Then an extreme left shift within the Democrats party due to an extreme Lefty/Lib movement. Therefore the aggression and refusal to cooperate between these two parties has gone near zero. The only thing these parties still cooperate on, is only in regards to those representatives holding their jobs and their financial attractive lobbyist side income. None of them is factually working in the interest of the American people.

Why do e.g. European countries have multiple parties? Because extreme political and social visions simply cannot be fulfilled via a single party. Therefore let the Republicans split from conservative right-wing MAGA's and Democrats split from extreme Lefty/libs. I bet with you, that common sense Republicans and Democrats can achieve a majority in the US house of representatives. Flanked or opposed by conservative right-wing MAGA's and extreme Lefty/Libs.

You don't need to adopt a conservative right-winger MAGA mentality to regulate the US immigration policy - that has been inappropriate or lets say rather thoughtless for the past 5 decades. To me this topic isn't just about "illegal" imigrants but "wanted" imigrants in general and their required qualification to pass for a US immigration visa.
