Lucky or Good?

That age old question: Would you rather be lucky or good?

We make our own luck. Granted there are unforeseen twists of fate and we're not completely in control of what happens in this world, but we do have some control.

To me, there is not much chance a person is going to make if they don't put in at least some effort and so I would rather be good because whatever knowledge a person possesses will be what carries them onward should they ever get lucky later on.

I've always believed that luck is nothing more than preparation meeting opportunity...

I'd rather be lucky. One could be good, but where would it get you if you're unlucky enough to be born in some 3rd world country? Or have been born a slave back in the 1700's? Plus a lot of good people die due to no fault of their own, whether it be from disease or accident.
