Both
Why against age caps?
We all know anyone past 70 should not hold any important political office
I only troll people who whine constantly! "Oh, woe is me", seems to be your theme!
We allow politicians of any age to regulate education, even those which their own apparently did not stay with them or was never obtained in the first place! My point exactly.
And we’re expecting 80 y/o women and men to not only understand but to regulate it?
Perhaps you should have stayed in your hidey hole instead of slithering out and infesting the world with your diseases, ignorance, and projectionism.I only troll people who whine constantly! "Oh, woe is me", seems to be your theme!
You said:
"*Substandard wages
*NO cost of living raises
*Food and housing we can't afford
*Corrupt healthcare we can't afford or get
*Being forced out of the job market after 50
etc....."
Exactly none of that is true for me. Perhaps you should have planned your life better.
Two terms and done.A whopping 8 out of 10 support age caps for Congress. I'm surprised by this frankly. I thought it would be majority but 80% in this atmosphere is like 100% in others.
From the piece....
While both ideas are hypothetical — neither is being seriously considered by Congress — support for each cuts across many backgrounds and party lines. The poll found that 78% of Democrats support both age caps and term limits. Eighty-three percent of Republicans backed maximum age limits, and nearly 9 in 10 supported term limits.
As for term limits; I'm a firm "no" on that. For one thing, if you have a really good, effective lawmaker...why would you want to arbitrarily have to get rid of her or him? We had a good mayor in Houston who was term limited out of office. Since he left, the city's debt has exploded (not all the fault of his successors), layoffs and furloughs have happened, etc...
We have elections on the regular. That is how you limit someone's term. Now if you want to set it at 20 years...I'll be happy to entertain that.
That's a very racist thing to say!Perhaps you should have stayed in your hidey hole instead of slithering out and infesting the world with your diseases, ignorance, and projectionism.
So, you know how to scam the government out of money for a cushy life. That seems to be ALL you people are good for......self-inflation, self-congratulations, kleptomania, lying, and creating death and destruction to hide your atrocities.
YOU people!I don't scam. I'm a scam FINDER.That's a very racist thing to say!![]()

YOU people!
I have scammed no one. You are just pissed because you were not smart enough to avoid being scammed!
Who the **** is YOU PEOPLE, you fucktardo?I don't scam. I'm a scam FINDER.
YOU PEOPLE are the longtime career criminal scammers.
Term Limits...
Perhaps age limits for voting would help, too.We already have term limits.
They are called "elections".
The problem is the voters keep propping these people up no matter how old they get.
Back in the bad old days when I used to be a Republican, I went to an event for Henry Hyde in 2004.
The guy was grossly overweight, could barely talk because he was so exhausted, and couldn't even stand for more than a few minutes at a time. But they kept propping him up to run. He declined to run in 2006 and died shortly after his last term ended.

The gerontocracy perpetuates itself in numerous ways and it's hard to imagine the reliability of geezer voters isn't one of them. No, not really.
Let's get real about what we are talking about here.
We are talking about the current and last presidents being Octogenarians who are unable to complete their duties because of extreme old age, not to mention members of Congress who are barely functional.
That's a lot more complicated than going to the voting station once every two years and making a good decision.
So elected folks who have been in office for 50 plus years and are now 90 years old are doing a good job for your party and the country?...We already have term limits.

Its your party that selects the people to run for office for you... wou people have no say in who runs... so you get the same trash every term....It's not a partisan issue. NEITHER side should be keeping these guys in this long, when their faculties are clearly declining.
I know you guys complained for years that Biden was old and senile (fair enough) but are pretending you can't see Trump's clear deterioration.
Yesterday he threatened to nuke Iran and called a female reporter a word I can't use on USMB.
But keep acting like this is all is normal.
