Liz Cheney withholds evidence exonerating Trump J6

Old news. Benedict Donald wanted the NG to protect his MAGAMOB. Not the legislators who were going to declare him the loser of the 2020 election.

So where is the order to deploy the NG that Benedict Donald signed? Where has Liz been hiding it?

This topic isn't aging well for the J6 liars.

House investigators found that the J6 committee deleted troves of information, including ‘hundreds of video recordings.’
“For nearly two years former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th Select Committee promoted hearsay and cherry-picked information to promote its political goal — to legislatively prosecute former President Donald Trump,” Loudermilk said. “It was no surprise that the Select Committee’s final report focused primarily on former President Trump and his supporters, not the security failures and reforms needed to ensure the United States Capitol is safer today than in 2021.”

Loudermilk’s subcommittee detailed the investigation’s initial findings this week, over a year after a separate Republican review of the Capitol security failures on Jan. 6, 2021, found Pelosi culpable for turning down requests to preemptively call in the National Guard.

Loudermilk’s subcommittee also “discovered that the Select Committee failed to archive more than a terabyte of digital data.”

“The Select Committee also deleted or failed to turn over more than 100 digital documents from the hard drives the Select Committee provided to the Subcommittee,” Loudermilk’s report read. “This included numerous password and encrypted files, and in some cases, these files were deleted just days before Republicans took over the majority in January 2023.”

Ornato’s testimony directly contradicts the Jan. 6 committee’s narrative of a president fanning the flames of “insurrection.”

J6 Committee Colluded with Fani Willis

In December, House Republicans sent letters to Chairman Thompson and Fani Willis, the Georgia prosecutor who indicted Trump, to probe coordination between the two get-Trump investigations. Loudermilk’s report on Monday outlined probable collusion between Thompson’s efforts on the Jan. 6 committee and Willis’ political prosecution of the Republican presidential front-runner and presumptive nominee.

“Based on public reporting, the Select Committee shared important records with Willis and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office,” Loudermilk’s team wrote. “The Subcommittee has opened an investigation into the extent of the coordination between Willis and the Select Committee and is committed to uncovering answers to these questions.”

Democrats running the Jan. 6 Committee finally admitted the obvious: it’s a show trial all about the midterms.

House Democrats prosecuting political dissidents in the form of the Select Committee on Jan. 6 admitted this week the show trial investigation is all about the November midterms.

On Friday, The Washington Post chronicled the committee’s next steps in a feature headlined “Jan. 6 committee faces a thorny challenge: Persuading the public to care” as Americans lose enthusiasm for severe retribution against those involved with a constitutionally protected rally 14 months ago, who are the true target of the committee’s work as opposed to perpetrators of the Capitol riot.

One lawmaker, the Post wrote, “added that even some of their Democratic constituents have lost interest in the committee’s work because of more pressing issues, like inflation and the coronavirus pandemic.” Americans are now coping with gas prices eclipsing their record peak and compounded by an inflation rate running at a four-decade high.

Let me ask this, was there ever any public mention of NG being .....
a) asked for
b) denied

before Jan 6th or only after the fact?

So much for the impeccable hearing you people hold dear to your hearts. It was a get Trump at any costs move from the get go.

Cheney and her committee falsely claimed they had ‘no evidence’ to support Trump officials’ claims the White House had asked for 10,000 National Guard troops.
Former Rep. Liz Cheney’s January 6 Committee suppressed evidence that President Donald Trump pushed for 10,000 National Guard troops to protect the nation’s capital, a previously hidden transcript obtained by The Federalist shows.

Cheney and her committee falsely claimed they had “no evidence” to support Trump officials’ claims the White House had communicated its desire for 10,000 National Guard troops. In fact, an early transcribed interview conducted by the committee included precisely that evidence from a key source. The interview, which Cheney attended and personally participated in, was suppressed from public release until now.

Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato’s first transcribed interview with the committee was conducted on January 28, 2022. In it, he told Cheney and her investigators that he overheard White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows push Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser to request as many National Guard troops as she needed to protect the city.

He also testified President Trump had suggested 10,000 would be needed to keep the peace at the public rallies and protests scheduled for January 6, 2021. Ornato also described White House frustration with Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller’s slow deployment of assistance on the afternoon of January 6, 2021.

Not only did the committee not accurately characterize the interview, they suppressed the transcript from public review. On top of that, committee allies began publishing critical stories and even conspiracy theories about Ornato ahead of follow-up interviews with him. Ornato was a career Secret Service official who had been detailed to the security position in the White House.

Cheney frequently points skeptics of her investigation to the Government Publishing Office website that posted, she said, “transcripts, documents, exhibits & our meticulously sourced 800+ page final report.” That website provides “supporting documents” to the claims made by Cheney and fellow anti-Trump enthusiasts.

However, transcripts of fewer than half of the 1,000 interviews the committee claims it conducted are posted on that site. It is unclear how many of the hidden transcripts include exonerating information suppressed by the committee.

“The former J6 Select Committee apparently withheld Mr. Ornato’s critical witness testimony from the American people because it contradicted their pre-determined narrative. Mr. Ornato’s testimony proves what Mr. Meadows has said all along: President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down,” said the Georgia Republican.

“This is just one example of important information the former Select Committee hid from the public because it contradicted what they wanted the American people to believe,” Loudermilk said. “And this is exactly why my investigation is committed to uncovering all the facts, no matter the outcome.”

Not sure what is below pond scum, but Cheney is below what ever is below pond scum.

Trump would have this report also.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security downplayed or ignored “a massive amount of intelligence information” ahead of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S Capitol, according to the chairman of a Senate panel that on Tuesday is releasing a new report on the intelligence failures ahead of the insurrection.

The report details how the agencies failed to recognize and warn of the potential for violence as some of then-President Donald Trump’s supporters openly planned the siege in messages and forums online.

Among the multitude of intelligence that was overlooked was a December 2020 tip to the FBI that members of the far-right extremist group Proud Boys planned to be in Washington, D.C., for the certification of Joe Biden’s victory and their “plan is to literally kill people,” the report said. The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee said the agencies were also aware of many social media posts that foreshadowed violence, some calling on Trump’s supporters to “come armed” and storm the Capitol, kill lawmakers or “burn the place to the ground.”

Michigan Sen. Gary Peters, the Democratic chairman of the Homeland panel, said the breakdown was “largely a failure of imagination to see threats that the Capitol could be breached as credible,” echoing the findings of the Sept. 11 commission about intelligence failures ahead of the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Gee, we should have a special congressional committee look at what went wrong on January 6th

"Not sure what is below pond scum, but Cheney is below what ever is below pond scum."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I, for one, would demur on the 'pond scum' epithet.

Actually, Cheney is pretty impressive.

  • She was in Congress (rose to #3 in Republican leadership, behind only McCarthy and Scalise).
  • She was in the J6 Committee hearings where she was succinct, on-point, and competently and respectfully queried witnesses. She sounded and acted like an experienced CEO.

And then, this past January in Sarasota I had the opportunity to sit in a small venue and listen to her speak. She came across with the same air of focus and directed intention. To be sure, after seeing all the testimonies and evidence revealed during the Committee investigation she does now come across....firmly.....as a Never Trumper.

She wasn't always that way. Her voting record supported Trump more than Jim Jordan's did at the time. But I think once she looked under Trump's hood.....she was, and remains, alarmed about his fitness to lead.

If Liz is pond scum. We need more of it.

IMHO

Cut the bullshit...................she's a traitor.

"Cut the bullshit...................she's a traitor.

Me, and my avatar too, are always pained when we trigger one of the QAnons, or MAGAs who populate this gossipboard.

It is never our intention to discombobulate or frazzle the Baghdad Bobs who contribute here.
We sincerely desire they find safe passage in their lives.
Trust us.

If she wasn't a traitor to republican party, why did she get her ass shellacked by her own constituents?
