Some cities/towns have a small taxable amount (assesment) deduction on property taxes if you live in the residence, but I can't find that in Norfolk, does anyone know if they have that there? Also the State has a 65 years old or above deduction on property tax, so if the father fit that age bracket he might have been used for almost free property taxes. What a piece of work.

I do not like Letitia, but that claim clearly is wrong.
You do not tell the property tax people anything.
They always assess on their own.
The number of units you choose to divide any property into, is totally arbitrary.
And the taxes are based on sq footage, not number of units.
