I think puberty blockers and hormone therapy for children is just wrong, even if it’s 2%. They need to be of an age where they understand what’s going on before they get into that. Again, during puberty, they are still figuring themselves out. If they come to you at a young age and profess to be the wrong sex…maybe they are just going through a phase, maybe they’ll grow out of it.

I’ve suggested separating those numbers out by specific age so we could see how many of those are adults and how many are children. Again, hipaa wouldn’t apply here because no sensitive and personal patient information would be released…I’m not asking for personal information, only the number, per age, that have transitioned and who have had regrets. There would not need to be any personal data released.

Now, if out of those 50, 5 of them started transition as an adult, but 45 of them started transition as a child….well, that paints a different picture….but we can’t see that information.
