It's the new catch phrase of the left: Our democracy is in danger if you vote Republican. Now, I've asked leftists on USMB how is democracy threatened if we vote Republican, and not one can give me a coherent answer or in most cases, any answer at all. Like robots, just repeat what you are told to repeat. Since I never got any answer, I'm creating a topic on it to see if somebody, anybody on the left can explain this threat to me.

On the right there was 1/6, a one day event that lasted several hours but resulted in business carried out as usual. No Republican representative supported it. No right-wing radio or television host supported it. And it happened nearly two years ago.

On the left you had the FBI engage in assisting the Democrat party by obtaining warrants with false applications to spy on a political foe, pressuring major social media companies to remove any posts about Hunter Biden's laptop scandal which resulted in Biden's win, two phony impeachments, attacking pro-life people protesting abortion clinics and arresting them, and more recently a President asking an oil producing nation to withhold their announcement they intend to cut oil production to help his party in a midterm election; something they based their first phony impeachment on President Trump for even though he never did any such thing.

So which party is the actual threat to democracy here?

It was just code speak to their base, otherwise in hopes to relay a message that republican's are out to destroy everything they've achieved, even if those achievements were actually done in direct defiance of democracy..... Democracy is supposed to be for all Americans not just certain American's, otherwise when it is conveniently used by Democrat's as a weapon in such a horrific way.

This election should have exposed them but good, and exposed every damned lie they've concocted and pushed as truth, when it was far from any truth conceivable by the human brain.

Everywhere in the modern world in all those democracies, the socialists are always for democracy and fair capitalism. Communists are what you understand them to be BUT socialists are different. Capitalism made us the richest and most powerful country in the world in just a few hundred years of existence; the concept of people being rewarded for their innovation, investments and hard work. People from all around the world try to get into this country for that reason. Where they came from, if you are born poor, that's the way you're going to stay no matter how hard you try to work yourself out of poverty.

When communes became popular here in the 70's, some people worked to bring in money, and others loafed around the commune having babies they could never support, and smoked pot all day. That's why they failed. The producers of the money got sick of supporting the loafers and left. The Democrats want to use that failed philosophy for the entire country.

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Public Education, AFDC checks, WIC, Food Stamps, HUD, FHA mortgages, and VA mortgages seem to be fairly socialist programs. Are there any Americans that do not utilize at least 2 or 3 million of these programs? I'm pretty sure we are already socialist, we have been over 120 years, and every single American citizen is super duper truper socialist at heart so when does communism kick in? Government programs are not really socialist. Some may be but not all. Government is assigned to do things we can't possibly organize ourselves such as roads, police, public utilities and so on. It would be very difficult for people to arrange trash pickup without government. Here they place it on your property taxes because when they tried to send a bill to people, they claimed they didn't use the trash system, and just put their trash on other peoples lawns.
