keys to the kingdom

Defeating people who are overly emotional about a subject and hold extreme views is like shooting fish in a barrel. It's so easy.

One can never get too much balance.

What you don't realize is that you are disputing with God himself when you say something stupid like you can escape the penalty for idolatry, death, a curse, by practicing idolatry. WTF
The Bible does not list a single, exact number of times God forgave Israel for idolatry. Rather than a finite tally, the narrative depicts a recurring cycle of rebellion, punishment, repentance, and divine forgiveness that happens countless times throughout the scriptures. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The clearest structural example of this occurs in the Book of Judges: [1, 2]
  • The 6 Cycles in Judges: The cycle of sin and forgiveness is documented specifically six times in this book (Judges 3:7, 3:12, 4:1, 6:1, 10:6, 13:1). The Israelites would fall into idolatry, God would allow them to face oppression, they would cry out in distress, and He would forgive them by sending a judge to rescue them. [1, 2, 3]
  • The 10 Times in the Wilderness: Before entering the Promised Land, the Israelites provoked or tested God's patience and were repeatedly forgiven ten times (as counted by Old Testament scholars, e.g., Numbers 14:22). While not always direct idolatry, these incidents—such as the Golden Calf and grumbling—set the standard for God's forgiving nature. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

hard to beat the 4th century christian bible as anything more bizarre than that religion - rather than the simple goal taught by jesus their spoken religion to simply sin no more.
You don't like that Bible? Feel free to access the older ones in Africa and Asia. Oh, you say they agree? Oh, well.

You know what I meant. And you're a fool for searching for wisdom and lessons in an ancient pile of crap book that was our first and worst attempt at coming up with it and writing it down.
I disagree.

Given the time when it was written and the fact that people were killed for trivial reasons by talking serpents and their demons I see it as a brilliant example how dedicated, intelligent, courageous, moral and ethical the authors were demonstrating an intimate knowledge of the heights and depths of human potential and the cause and cure for many forms of mental illness far more advanced than modern theories and treatments which have been barbaric.

You can get that lesson elsewhere without having to extract it and contrive it from a pile of magical horseshit.
Maybe so but the sad truth is that many people who "believe" that those stories are literal accounts of historical events have usurped moral authority over unbelievers legislating laws and customs that perpetuate their delusions, rewarding believers and punishing unbelievers.

Trump, the epitome of a talking serpent, might as well have appointed a troop of drunken monkeys mesmerized by shiny objects to positions of authority. Even his so called spiritual advisor is a religiously addled moron who jumps around squeaking and gibbering incoherent nonsense claiming to be full of the Holy Spirit even though she is obviously just full of shit.

Thats not magical horseshit or an ancient fairy tale written by numbskulls. Thats reality. Now.

These "stars" will fall from the sky in a spectacular way, at least according to the fairy tale, whenever people deceived, used, abused, fleeced to the bone and left for dead, grow a set.

For it is written,

No one whose balls have been crushed can become a member of the assembly of the Lord.

ITS THE LAW

That sounds suspiciously like dogmatic sanctimony.

Being dogmatic means expressing personal opinions or beliefs as if they are absolute, unchangeable facts.

Sanctimonious is an adjective used to describe someone who acts as if they are morally or religiously superior to others, often in a hypocritical or insincere way.

Very good!

Now take the knowledge that idolatry is a sin under penalty of death, according to the Bible that you profess to believe is the WORD of God, and the next time you are in church STAY AWAKE, if you can, and see and hear with your own eyes and ears the priest brazenly set aside the Law of God, hold up the eucharist openly stating it was made by human hands and will become for "us" the Body of Christ that you worship and eat on your knees for spiritual life which is the perfect example of idolatry according to both the dictionary and the Bible.

See? I'm paying you back in your own coin just like a sanctimonious prick, except that what I said about idolatry, a sin under penalty of death, what you do in church, is OBJECTIVELY an absolute unchangeable fact.

So, if scripture is true, you died in a very real way a long time ago. But don't believe me just because I said so, even though its true, believe because of the stupid things you say and do,

:wine:

I will now take a bow!

:thanks:

This is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel.

a favorite past time for desert dwellers - murdering innocent fish.

- and being immune, forgiven their sins themselves from their madeup, phony commandments is just the icing on their religious cake.

Ding saying he's shooting fish in a barrel is just ding saying he's shooting himself in the head.

Fish is a well known metaphor for a Christian, and, as it is written, every fish in the sea died.

Troll sez wut?

One of the problems is that Christians "believe" that sinning is the way to eternal life. Derp.
No one believes that. I mean, you're saying it, and usually that means you would believe it, but in your case...probably not.

No one believes that? Are you that dense, blind, dead as a corpse without the breath of life?

Every single one of the over 30,000 bastard denominations of Roman Catholicism that worships a trinity that became a supernatural reality defying sacrificial mangod is openly and brazenly practicing idolatry which is a sin under penalty of death. So yes, believers profess to believe that sinning, by practicing idolatry, is the way to eternal life. Derp. And some people don't believe in Divine condemnation, the death, a curse, for defying the Divine commands.

Imagine that!

No one believes that you are doing what you openly and brazenly admit to doing? WTF! :auiqs.jpg:

Sucker.

No, I checked. None of us believe that sinning is the way to righteousness. Maybe you do, but all the believers throughout history do not.

Sanctimonious much?

What do you call worshipping a Roman trinity that became a supernatural sacrificial mangod, a false substitute counterfeit Jesus, the Antichrist that never existed, if not idolatry, a sin?

A religious duty? A demonstration of your deep and abiding love for God? lol I don't think so. No one is pointing a gun at your head forcing you on your knees to worship the Antichrist.

From now on to willingly defy the Law of God and desecrate the teaching of the real Jesus, a froward Jewish man, after being made aware of the truth is to make evil a deliberate choice.

Now y'all know.

Thanks! You mean the way the bloody history of your church, persecutions, pogroms, inhumane antisemitic cruel inquisitions, witch hunts, etc., etc., etc., confirms professor?
