Will Biden abandon the prosecution?

"One of the main witnesses in Julian Assange’s extradition case has admitted he made false claims against Assange in exchange for immunity from prosecution, a bombshell revelation that could have a major impact on the WikiLeaks founder’s fate.

"Assange faces up to 175 years in prison if brought to the U.S., where he was indicted for violations of the Espionage Act related to the publication of classified documents exposing U.S. war crimes."

Eight hours ago I heard "radical leftists" make the claim not a single MSM sources had revealed this story; has anyone heard otherwise?

Good, now we can throw that lying witness in prison with Assange.

No old Joe won’t stop his unjust persecution of Assange.

One would think journalists everywhere should have and should be condemning the Empire’s actions. More proof most journalists are controlled and we live in a failed state.

If anyone thinks our government abides by the constitution, they are self admitted dupes.

Nah. He pissed off a bunch of rich-ass private banking clients and wealthy banksters at Julius Baer. Nothing to do with anything classified. Not in the sense of U.S. government information or state espionage at any rate.
Is this what you're referring to?

"In 2002, the bank learned that records pertaining to the arrangement of anonymizing trusts in the Cayman Islands for clients from 1997 to 2002 had been leaked. They interviewed the local employees with a polygraph as per company policy.

"The bank was unsatisfied with the answers of Cayman unit COO Rudolf Elmer, and terminated his employment.

"In June 2005, the leak was reported by the Swiss financial weekly Cash and The Wall Street Journal, though details of individual accounts were not reported on.[3] In December 2007, Elmer released documents related to WikiLeaks regarding surveillance of him and his family.

"The next month, some of the leaked account data began appearing on WikiLeaks. Contributors to WikiLeaks allege that these provide evidence of asset hiding, money laundering and tax evasion.

"Ten account holders in the United States, Spain, Peru, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, and Switzerland have been identified so far on WikiLeaks."

Part of the plea deal no doubt is that witnesses who receive immunity would refrain from telling the world that they lied to make a deal. Are the allegedly corrupted Feds so negligent that they can't even monitor a single witness in a major case or was that the plan all along?

You’d think this would immediately result in Assange’s release. We live in an insane world run by psychopaths.
I believe you may be too charitable towards psychopaths.

"Personal violence is for the amateur in dominance, structural violence is the tool of the professional. The amateur who wants to dominate uses guns; the professional uses social structure."

The above quote is attributed to Johan Galtung who has speculated the US may be both a republic and an empire. If so, that might explain why Americans worship freedom, liberty, and the pioneering spirit while celebrating "their aggressiveness, arrogance, violence, hypocrisy and self-righteousness..."

Biden has been a loyal servant of empire as long as he's held elected office. I can't imagine him placing a free press over petty revenge at this stage of his life.

"'If Biden really wants to break with the Trump legacy, then he has to drop the case,' Moris told Reuters in an interview. 'They can’t maintain this prosecution against Julian while saying that they defend a global press freedom.'

"When Barack Obama served as president and Biden was his vice president, the US decided not to seek Assange’s extradition on the grounds that what WikiLeaks did was similar to journalistic activities protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution.

"Weeks after taking office Trump administration officials stepped up public criticism of Assange and later filed a series of criminal charges accusing him of participating in a hacking conspiracy."

Assange pissed off a lot of wealthy powerful people. For this he has been imprisoned unjustly for years, while the MSM says nothing about how wrong this is.

Trumpers who think Don was all about emptying the swamp should take note. Not only did he do nothing, he continued to try to extradite Assange to the US for imprisonment.

By some accounts, the witness in this case is a life-long con man

Key witness in Assange case admits to lies in indictment

"The witness, who has a documented history with sociopathy and has received several convictions for sexual abuse of minors and wide-ranging financial fraud, made the admission in a newly published interview in Stundin where he also confessed to having continued his crime spree whilst working with the Department of Justice and FBI and receiving a promise of immunity from prosecution."o_O
