Biden’s Blunder, the Taliban, and U.S. Weapons: Trump Wants Them Back

You left out that the withdrawal time line was made by the Orange Cheeto and Biden was meeting that withdrawal day. The Orange Cheeto did nothing to wind things down knowing full well that he could transfer the blame to Biden.

In order to prevent those weapons from being seized by the Taliban, they should have been taken care of months earlier. It didn't happen.
You left off that had Trump still be in office, or if ANY OTHER competent person in the White House had taken a look at the sitrep on the ground, they would not have pulled out.

But Dr Jill has been telling Joe to pull out so long that its second nature to him.

Trump made the deal in the previous year and could have done a better job instead of hoping that he would win re-election or just leave it to the next guy

Of course Trump was running for office the following year and probably was not in a hurry for the withdrawal because he was taking the credit

Trump added that he "planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible."

"Trump has continued to take the lead in peace talks as he signed a historic peace agreement with the Taliban in Afghanistan, which would end America's longest war."

Trump was already to take complete credit if things had gone well.

" I did that"

but in reality he could not get it done quickly. and lost the election. Then blame the new guy if it went south.
Trump added that he "planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible."
And Joe even screwed that up.

Trump was in charge until he left office in November after losing the election. He could have won and continued.

Aug. 31, 2021

President Biden’s failure to hold the Taliban to the terms of the Doha agreement contributed to this disaster.
The agreement promised the Taliban an earlier U.S. departure, by May 1, 2021, in return for a pledge that they would prevent the use of Afghanistan soil by any group against the security of the U.S. and its allies. Mr. Biden managed to extend the date by four months but was still bound by the basic terms of the agreement. The Biden administration believed that if the U.S. failed to remove forces by Aug. 31, the Taliban could renege on their commitment and allow attacks on U.S. troops remaining in the country, so the only way for the U.S. to avoid this danger was to withdraw, honoring its end of the Doha deal in the hope that the Taliban would spare American forces.

Commentary:
In a nut-shell. That is exactly what Joey Baidung, Blinken, Sullivan, and Gen. Milley did.
They turned a negotiated deal into a National disaster that caused the lives of thousands of Afghanistan's and Americans including massive amounts of U.S. military materiel.

First of all:

View attachment 1110971

Second, you must remember that tRump negotiated the deal with the taliban, not Joe Biden.
~~~~~~
And Joey Baidung violated every precept that was negotiated in the Doha Agreement and then abandoned the Afghanistan people he pledged to protect and sacrificed American lives.
Too bad Biden was in charge for the 7months leading up to the evacuation.
and Trump was in charge in the prior year for quite a few months and did not get the job done
But Trump likes to place blame and take credit
Still even in Vietnam after the war equipment was left behind. So it is a common occurrence.
Trump just wants to make it an issue. If it went well he would take the credit. If it went bad then he would blame the new guy.
that is your boy
Yet even in Vietnam equipment was left behind.
And equipment left behind in Afghanistan
Trump and his troops just want to make it an issue.
The Trump plan was withdrawal by May 31, 2021 predicated on the Taliban meeting all the agreed upon terms.
The Taliban dragged their feet and Baidung reneged extending the withdrawal four months. Finally pulling out of Bagram AFB in the middle of the night abandoning $84 billion in military materiel.
That's a complete load of crap and you know it.
Biden’s Blunder, the Taliban, and U.S. Weapons: Trump Wants Them Back
13 May 2025 ~~ By Antonio Graceffo
In what may be one of the most devastating foreign policy failures in modern U.S. history, President Joe Biden’s reckless 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan did not simply leave a power vacuum, it handed America’s enemies one of the largest unauthorized arms transfers in history.
Today, billions of dollars in U.S. weapons and equipment are in the hands of terrorists, black market arms dealers, and hostile regimes.
According to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), the Taliban earned over $3.4 billion in revenue last year, partly by selling seized U.S. weapons to global terror networks. Groups such as al-Qaeda affiliates, ISIS-K, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and others are actively using these weapons for attacks and training.
A recent BBC investigation revealed that half a million weapons captured by the Taliban are now unaccounted for—either lost, sold, or smuggled out.
The Taliban originally seized around one million items of U.S.-funded military hardware, including M4 and M16 rifles, Humvees, MRAPs, and even Black Hawk helicopters.
While much of the high-end equipment remains non-operational due to lack of training and maintenance capacity, thousands of vehicles and small arms have been deployed in combat or sold to the highest bidder.
The BBC confirmed that the Taliban admitted these weapons were missing during a closed-door UN meeting in Doha.
Despite Pentagon assurances that most equipment was disabled, the Taliban continues to flaunt U.S. hardware in military parades, most notably in August 2024, when they celebrated three years in power by showcasing captured gear at Bagram Airfield, once the main hub of U.S. and NATO operations.
~Snip~
Since resuming office, Trump has vowed to reclaim the gear, stating: “If we need to pay them, that’s fine—but we want our military equipment back.”
Yet the Taliban has refused, insisting the arms belong to the state. Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid declared, “We seized these weapons from the previous administration and will use them to defend the country.”
Meanwhile, China and Russia have cautiously moved to expand their presence in Afghanistan, seeking to exploit the vacuum left by the U.S. withdrawal. Both countries have reopened embassies in Kabul and hosted Taliban delegations.
This is not just a policy failure. It is a long-term national security liability, one that continues to arm terrorists, embolden authoritarian states, and erode American influence across one of the world’s most volatile regions.
Commentary:
Biden the worst. incompetent fraudulently elected president in U.S. history deserves having his entire 4 years, scrubbed from the History books along with all Executive Orders or Law that he ever signed and should be tossed into the trash can.
The shear incompetence of the Biden administration lies in the fact that they gave the Taliban massive amounts of weaponry and lists of the Afghanistan's that help the U.S. forces.
If it had been anyone else rather than a Democrat president, it would have been considered treason.
You have to question whether Biden and his crony henchmen got paid kickbacks in exchange for these weapons. That's what needs to be investigated and prosecuted.
The Afghanistan debacle was just one of many things Biden should have been removed from office over. His long list of crimes and his screw-ups are many.
The US should just go back militarily, get the military equipment and while there, offer freedom for the women only, who hate living under the Taliban.
Piss Pot's, Deep State , handlers will be awarding themselves medals for that effrontery .
The fate of the puppet and patsy -- The Piss Pot --- is irrelevant to them .
However , Trumpfy has mounted another of his excellent Theatrical stunts .
I am sure that he does not care a fig for the dying dead head but it surely smacks the Dumbocrats where it really hurts .
More good fun and games for the master showman .
yeah except that Trump was a part of the plan for withdrawal
The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal.
Republicans eager to blame Biden but have nothing to say about Trump involvement and his agreement.
He was involved in the agreement and supported it.
Trump's plan was shredded and discarded on January 21st, 2021 the day that Biden's Marxists Shadow government took over.
Trump dishes on Milley clash over leaving military equipment in Afghanistan: 'I knew he was an idiot'
Trump shared details on how he and Milley sparred over leaving the equipment in Afghanistan
8 Jul 2025 ~~ By Diane Stancy
President Donald Trump disclosed he and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley clashed over leaving equipment in Afghanistan as the U.S. withdrew troops in 2021.
Trump, who historically has pushed to recover billions of dollars' worth of equipment U.S. troops left in Afghanistan, said that Milley argued at the time it was cheaper to leave the equipment there.
"That's when I knew he was an idiot," Trump said during a Cabinet meeting Tuesday. "Didn't take long to figure that one out. But they left all that equipment. But they left their dignity behind. It was the most embarrassing moment, in my opinion, in the history of our country. Not that we got out. We should have not been there, but that we got out the way we got out with great embarrassment and death."
The Taliban seized nearly all of the more than $7 billion worth of equipment U.S. troops left in Afghanistan during the withdrawal process, according to a 2022 Department of Defense report.
While U.S. troops removed or destroyed most of the major equipment, there were aircraft, ground vehicles and other weapons were left in Afghanistan. The condition of these items remains unknown, but the Pentagon said in the report the equipment likely would fail operationally without maintenance from U.S. contractors.
~Snip~
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced in May that he had instructed the Pentagon to launch a comprehensive review of the U.S. withdrawal to provide a more comprehensive evaluation of the event and to hold those responsible accountable.
"The Department of Defense has an obligation, both to the American people and to the warfighters who sacrificed their youth in Afghanistan, to get to the facts," Hegseth said in a memo in May. "This remains an important step toward regaining faith and trust with the American people and all those who wear the uniform and is prudent based on the number of casualties and equipment lost during the execution of this withdrawal operation."
Commentary:
Milley was following 0rders from the Biden shadow President...
Clearly evidence concludes no leadership, no strategic thinking, in simply providing the best equipment, weapons, aircraft, munitions, transports, and infrastructure to the enemy.
Milley the perfect example of 'The Peter Principle' politicized in the military. Everyone who understands military culture knows that it is the rare exception that those 0-6 and above are political beings. The culture that creates this reality needs to change. Hopefully, Pete Hegseth will clean house and make sure this culture shift occurs.
Yet, everyone in the lower ranks have always been threatened with sensitive items accountability, leaving something even as simple as an e-tool, can get you courts marshalled, and busted. But good ole' Joey B left behind entire blackhawk helicopters for the Taliban.
The US invasion of Afghanistan was totally illegal, so we owe them big time.
The weapons we left do not even begin to pay back our debt we owe them.
We illegally murdered tens of thousands and made the legitimate government camp out in the mountains for 20 years.
Costs more to ship the used weapons than they were worth.
The most bloodless and successful evacuation of a defeated army in the history of warfare.
But we could have maintained the confidence of the people if we had brought the Taliban in sooner, to show that there was no need for worry.
