Article II also says someone who isn't qualified cannot hold office. No election commission is going to waste their time including someone in an election that can't hold the office. You're being foolish.

The Amendment does not restrict itself to Confederates but to former office holders who violated their oaths to commit or support insurrection. Sorry, but multiple courts have now concluded that Trump is accurately described by the Amendment.
The legal outcome will either be that SCOTUS will decide Trump can run in all states, that Trump cannot run anywhere or that it is up to the states individually to decide. It is not "just feelings". Believe it or not, your political opponents are capable of rational thought.

Some states may have parallel wording in their own constitutions but the 14th Amendment does not apply to state offices.

Lincoln declared it an insurrection, but technically it wasn’t. It was an attempt by the confederacy to leave the Union. Not overthrow it.
