Judge blocks Trumps EO to end birthright citizenship

I believe that Trump fully well anticipated that some knee jerk lib judge would try to label the EO “unconstitutional.”

And I also believe it will soon end up in the SCOTUS.

Although there are arguments to be made on both sides of the matter, and the ultimate determination isn’t assured, it is certainly a very real possibility that “birthright citizenship” for babies born here to illegal aliens is going to get shut down.

No, what's happening is you are attempting to use an fallacy called "Appeal to authority" by attempting to invoke the "Founders".

The fact remains that when the Constitution was written there were no "illegal aliens" and jus soli was (and still is the standard). The only ones that jus soli didn't apply to were slaves and those part of diplomatic missions.

Please note, nowhere in Section I is the citizen of parents or grandparents mentioned. You're a citizen in the country.
At some point self-preservation will take hold. What we have now is in most cases Progressive Socialist City States in control of their entire state dictating their agendas to them and within D.C. their surrogates to us all nationally. We need to refill the cup of wealth for the citizens and give time for those who came here recently to assimilate. We are not doing this as there are too many to do so.

I wouldn’t put it past the Supreme Court to side with Trump on this.

An amendment, once ratified, becomes part of the Constitution. Good God Almighty, the ignorance in this thread is overwhelming.
The amendment IS PART OF the Constitution. That is so obvious that even Winky gets that much.

But what the Amendment actually means may not be always clear.

With the Trump EO, it has been clarified. Of course, that EO is now subject, itself, to further analysis in our Courts.
 
The court will say that it's unconstitutional. We don't change the Constitution, we only uphold it. An amendment is what you're seeking. We don't do those here either.
It's a correction to an erroneous interpretation of the Constitution. Like Brown v Board of Ed.

The question is, why were the middle 6 words inserted into an otherwise clear amendment?

The SCOTUS will eventually have to decide that point.

Look it up. Do your own research. They were included to make it CLEAR that all persons born on our soil, including those of foreigners, subject to our laws, under our jurisdiction, were citizens. This argument was made and debated at the time of the proposed amendment....and all persons, including foreign aliens, subject to our jurisdiction, WON the argument.

The Founders recognized jus soli (birth of the land) citizenship with the exception being those not under Jurisdiction of the United States.
Well, Senator Howard, who actually drafted the Citizenship clause disagrees.

"[E]very person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of person."
