Donations, yes, independent expenditures, no. This actually has had a negative effect, because now any rich person can poison the pool with propaganda and candidates have less control over their own messaging.

Bullshit. The Federal government spends 4 Trillion a year. The Top 1% owns $25 TRILLION in assets. So even if we were to confiscate everything they had (which no one is suggesting) we could run the Federal government for years off of that.

2) Nine states would be 18% of the country, so your statement that pot is illegal in 90% of the states would STILL be wrong.
