He's very impressive - his intelligence and poise are at the top of the field, but his shortcoming in mass appeal, on this date, rule him out, I think. Warren was maybe my initial choice, but I soured a bit when she waffled on healthcare cost/funding. It made her weaker as a candidate. She's still my second choice.

Klobuchar is pragmatic enough to do a good job, I think.

Mostly I agree. Buttigieg rings a little hollow. Age will benefit him. I wouldn't call not having a completely calculated model for a sixth of the economy "waffling", particularly since none of the current plans will survive the contact with Congress in their current form.

He's not my boy, and I don't deny the government played a big role in the meltdown - primarily through Fannie and Freddie. Fed policy encouraged second homes and spec building, which contributed to the 18 million empty houses in America at the depth of the bust. But you're right - why bother? I'm sure you recall when there was a distinction between long- and short-term capital gains. with the aim of promoting investment as opposed to gambling. I don't think many people would consider 5 years to be "flipping". 5 years is more along the lines of 'what the fuck did I do?'

No, the problem is, the government shouldn't be making these kinds of decisions to start with. House flipping is a good thing. It means that someone is willing to take a property, fix it up to make it more liveable, and sell it at a profit. This concept is probably completely foreign to Commie Bernie and his ilk.

Well I am not a progressive nor a Trump supporter but a few of the canidates would get my vote simply because Trump is on the other side so I will answer anyway.

Klochabar would be my top pick but there is no chance she is going to take the nomination. I have no idea why she is so ignored with the rest of the current field. I think she actually has some grounded ideas and can actually get some of it through. Unfortunately, she has no chance and really should drop out so a watered down field does not elect Sanders.

Second would be Biden to take the nomination even though he seems to have little chance in recovering from his current crashing numbers and he MUST do better in the general or Trump will obliterate him. I would absolutely vote for Biden tough - at least he has an inkling of what needs to be done and is not a nutcase. Biden's presidency would be the type of presidency that no one would even remember in 20 years. That is the type of president we need after Trump.

Next would be Buttigeig. Not sure if I would vote for him yet. He seems more manufactured than anything and has zero experience.

Bloomberg? Not voting for either Bloomberg or Trump. Not interested in the nanny state and Bloomberg certainly is. Stop and Frisk is a problem as well even beyond the racial undertones that the democrats are most focused on. The idea itself is antithetical to freedoms.

Warren needs to drop out already. She is totally fabricated and it shows through badly. I do not think she has said a single genuine word this entire election cycle.

Bernie is the ONLY POSSIBLE THING that could make me even contemplate voting for Trump. I see him as the left equivalent of Trump. If he wins the nomination, BOTH parties will have lost their minds. At least the Democrats keeping their shit together can force the Republicans back to sanity should they slaughter them in coming elections but I fear that will not happen any time soon should the left lose its mind as well.


I will add that it is awfully eerie how similar this is to Trump. Sanders may get the nomination because the rest of the field is too spread out. The party knows this but after Super Tuesday there may be no going back.
