Jayapal (D-WA) announces she has been working with foreign countries to supply oil to Cuba

There is no law directing this "proxy" fuel blockade on Cuba. The GOP King through his dictates, is threatening sanctions and tariffs against third-party countries and shipping companies that supply oil to the commie island. Russian tankers get through don't they? Aiming to pressure the communist government. It's a form of economic terrorism with the people of Cuba, as always, in the crosshairs of the American blow.

That said, I don't know what she did.

Who did we invade? Are you making shit up as you go?
First was Venezuela, then didn't rule out Greenland or Canada of all places. Then of course went to war with Iran to kill a nuclear program. He said he obliterated last summer, and his own State Department and national intelligence chief confirmed no enrichment since then, as late as two weeks before, the idiot started using up 10 years of missile production to stop the program (already stopped) again. This action destroyed a lot of military eqipment including advance US fighert plus other every expensive aircraft, shut down the straits of Hormuz, so now we pay $4.00+/gal of gas, and he doesn't even have a clue how to open it back up, so basically spending fortune on a war, getting nothing but economic problems for the whole world, and still not getting the deal to control the program Obama got without a war. This was years ago before trump unilaterally walk away from it, spurring them to up their production again, until Trump's attacked last summer. So far, it looks like we lost. The man is an idiot and Maj Hegseth, likewise and idiot. So, I have no confidence in their military judgment, whatsoever. And that is no matter how far up his ass, you and the rest of MAGA want to stick your noses, and backslap about the amount of destruction carried out on those asshole, while not only wiping out their rulers, but also the ones we want to become the rules, thinking they would be easier to negotiate with. Only problem being, we are seeing nothing to indicate they have any wish to negotiate.

I still care about Cuba (and I was one of those kids hiding under a school desk in Florida in 1962).
I care because these people are living in a shit hole thanks to the completely failed, stupid experiment called "Communism". And I would like them to be freed from that thuggery if it can be done peacefully, hopefully.
No you stupid fµcking idiot, if Cuba is a shit hole, it's because of America's blockade against them.

They are still standing tall despite it.

If communism is so bad, why not let it fail on it's own?

She's supposed to be representing the citizens of Seattle, not the Commies in Cuba.

She is working to counter the efforts of the United States, on our dime.

Economic sanctions (including oil) have been in place against Cuba since 1960.

And "Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both." How do you feel about US Congressmen wearing the military uniform of another country to work?

I haven't given a crap about Cuba, one way or the other since Kennedy made the lousy Russia pull their nuclear missiles out of there, back when I was in early grade school and the teachers (educated adults) quit training us to hide under our desks in case of a nuclear attack, as if hiding under little school desk beside a full wall of floor to ceiling windows was going to do something for us. Now, I simply don't giveashit.
Good luck to all that got their panties wet over this, don't forget your towel and thanks for all the fish.;)
None of whatever you are talking about has anything to do with the topic at hand, which is legislators conducting foreign policy outside of their Constitutional purview. What a pathetic attempt to derail a thread.

A supposed military person who does not know the definition of "invade"? Your TDS is probably now terminal. You should check into a hospice if it hasn't been closed for fraud yet!

Trump is acting outside of his constitutional purview.

BS. Cuba is the topic along with some Dem Congress woman, so my response was well within the rules and guidelines for posting, whether you like or not. So, I don't have to approve the administration regarding Cuba, and don't care about some congresswoman from Washington. Heck I didn't approve of Trump giving aid and comfort immediately after the Russian invasion, thinking him a lousy traitor when he was a civillian. If you don't like it you can report all you like but with Cuba in the title, there isn't a Mod that will touch it, so suck on it.

White6 is right on every count. So suffer MAGATS. If the president can start a war without going to Congress, a member of Congress can work with another country to stop them from suffeing because of the illegal stuff the President is doing.

An invasion is typically defined as a military offensive where combatants enter another polity's territory with the intent to achieve strategic goals, by military action on the ground. It does not have to specify how long the military forces stay, so the Venezuela raid counts.
Currently, there are approximately 3,000 paratroopers and 5,000 U.S. Marines deployed in the Middle East, with discussions about sending an additional 10,000 soldiers. This totals around 18,000 troops potentially available for operations against Iran.

If used on the ground in Iran, that also would be an invasion, and an absolutely stupid one, at that.

She needs to be prosecuted. People are not permitted to engage in personal foreign policies. Not just prosecuted but put in prison. If this is an example of foreigners in elected office, we need to make some changes.
Oh the hypocrisy of a cult member.

Well, we didn't stay in Venezuela, so it doesn't count as that was more of a raid.

Did we invade Pakistan when we killed Bin Laden? No.

We have not put boots on the ground in Iran so you lose on that one too.

What part of "It does not have to specify how long the military forces stay, so the Venezuela raid counts." did you fail to read or understand?
Some sources suggest that elements within the Pakistani military and intelligence may have had prior knowledge, while official statements from both the U.S. and Pakistan deny any such. Wikipedia PBS

It ain't off the table yet, as he has already moved the forces there and has not withdrawn them. It just depends on how stupid Trump is.

That's an opinion. Something that you always seem to have a hard time understanding.

You are so ******* immature to be such an old man. You obviously learned nothing about strategic thinking in your ground pounder tour. You are a ******* amateur with zero credibility. The sooner you realize that fact, the better off you will be.

That's my opinion, alright, backed up by 20 years military training at service schools on combine arms operations and duty assignments at platoons, companies, battalion, brigade and up to and include Corp operations with conflicts on two continents. You don't know sh#t, swabby. You were a buttons guy on a boat, not a tactician in combined arms planning and operations.

I was a steam engineer. Not a ******* button in the place, thank you!

You made the general's coffee, you hack! Prior to 1992, the Army wasn't much more powerful than the boy scouts. In 1994, they couldn't even get to Haiti without the Navy giving them a lift! I know because I was there!

Steam power suits you fine as you remind me of crabby old engineers from the steam locomotive days. I mistakenly thought you a weapons officer of some type, but nope, just a mechanic. No need to waste time on you.
