Look at the words. Defend "him". Him, obviously meaning Trump.

And, therefore logically, based on this fundamental assumption, the conclusion has to be that the J6 deniers are "defending Trump".

But the fundamental assumption is in error. It's wrong. It's not correct, not true.

The fundamental assumption is that Trumpism is about Trump. But it's not. Not at all. Not in the least. Not even for a microsecond.

In fact that assumption is so far off base it's almost the polar opposite of reality.

And it is plainly obvious that someone operating "within" this assumption, could fail to understand what Trumpists see "in" Trump
