James Hansen Wishes he Wasn’t So Right about Global Warming

Yeah, the papers that say nothing like what you claim they say. That's not a big win on your part.

But the data says that the warming started recently, so your theory is wrong.

You mean the planet that was cooling for the past 600 - 8000 years, thus disproving your theory?

I'm not the one that the world correctly defines as a cult crank. Preach on. Just don't expect anyone to listen.
The papers do say that the ocean currents can cause abrupt climate changes and are based upon tangible evidence from the geologic record. It's so well known and understood Dave Borlace did a video on it.

Answer my question do I have your point of view posted correctly?

So your opinion is the following.

The sun which radiates constantly the same amount of radiation has somehow caused the oceans to rapidly warm because it’s constant.

And then those same constantly warmed oceans distribute more warming to our planet.

Is that not your stated position dinger

No. Feel free to discuss it.

Scores of CLOWN DENIER OPs posted here from decades old Newspapers Mocking various/any source, yet few from the main one:
NASA's James Hansen who was RIGHT.

NEW YORK (AP) — James Hansen wishes he was wrong. He wasn’t.
NASA’s top climate scientist in 1988, Hansen warned the world on a record hot June day 30 years ago that global warming was here and worsening. In a scientific study that came out a couple months later, he even forecast how warm it would get, depending on emissions of heat-trapping gases.
The hotter world that Hansen envisioned in 1988 has pretty much come true so far, more or less. Three decades later, most climate scientists interviewed rave about the accuracy of Hansen’s predictions given the technology of the time.
Hansen won’t say, “I told you so.”
“I don’t want to be right in that sense,” Hansen told The Associated Press, in an interview is his New York penthouse apartment. That’s because being right means the world is warming at an unprecedented pace and ice sheets in Antarctica and Greenland are melting.
Hansen said what he really wishes happened is “that the warning be heeded and actions be taken.”

Hansen, of course, was right. But I bet he never imagined back in 1988 how much resistance the fossil fuel industry could manufacture from whole cloth - how many complete fools filled the US voter rolls.

The ocean controlling the climate of the planet has nothing to do with Exxon. It's just science.

He's surprised that an industry that makes our high-tech economy possible would resist
replacing cheap reliable energy with more expensive less reliable energy? That's funny.

I'll bet he's also surprised that people resist spending more to receive less.
Ask the voters where they'd rather spend their money. And then call them fools.

As always, your valuation of non-emitting energy technologies makes any discussion between us pointless.

Why not? He thinks CO2 was driving climate changes prior to the industrial revolution too. He's a true believer.

Have I got your idiot position right.
