The pipelines, it seems to me, are very vulnerable to artillery, aviation and submarine attacks. Thus, it is very easy to destroy the enemy's energy structure without even penetrating into his territory. Shipping by tankers and transport delivery seems to be safer, how do you think?

With regard to power lines, there is a similar problem, but electricity is easily provided by generators, there would be fuel.

Back in the good old days when St Trumpy was running things, everything was made here in America.

across the ocean?
No, here:
Last year, the Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. officials had seized a Chinese-built transformer they suspected had been secret capabilities that could allow distant adversaries to monitor or even disable it. Cybersecurity expert Joseph Weiss told the Journal that officials had found “electronics that should not have been part of the transformer (i.e., hardware back doors) that could secretly allow the Chinese to gain effective control of the transformers.” Weiss added that as far back as 2001, China was caught trying to hack into a U.S. grid in California. He further contends that the Russians have been “in” the U.S. grid since 2014.

Recognizing this threat, the Trump administration issued Executive Order 13929, declaring a national emergency with respect to the nation’s electric grid and prohibiting the acquisition or installation of “any bulk-power electric equipment designed, developed, manufactured, or supplied, by persons owned by, controlled by, or subject to the jurisdiction of such foreign adversaries.” In addition to China and Russia, the order identified North Korea, Iran, Cuba and Venezuela as “foreign adversaries.”

The order was a shrewd and timely response to a growing threat. Unfortunately, that Executive Order has now been suspended.

Xiden will do anything the Chinese want. They have made his family very rich for a reason. Access is the reason.

It looks like some kind of clownery. I think that even if the transformer could be disconnected by the electronics, it can be put into manual mode, it is not such a complex device to be dependent on electronics.
Trump is the left idiot who pretended to be right.

Keystone XL only benefitted the Chinese.

We were energy independent thanks to our last president, and begging for oil with the present president.
I guess you don't remember benefiting from a wealth of oil and gas. I remember $1.76 a gallon for gas. What was the lowest you paid for gas under trump? What are you paying now?
And heating your home? How funny do you think a 50% rise in that cost is?
You have an odd sense of humor. :uhoh3:

We have never been energy independent.. During 2020 we only imported 5 million bpd.. Before were were importing 8 million bpd .. like we are now. Trump's lies are not facts. He is fact free .. always has been.

In the military sense, the United States is energy independent, it produces about half of the oil consumed and has a reserve. In a military sense, that should be enough.

We were even exporting oil. Do you really feel $4.00 a gallon for gas is better than $2.00 gas? Trump must have been doing something right. Beats begging for it, don't you think?
China told Biden to eat shit too.

But, giving Russia a pipeline was a real feather in Biden's cap though, don't ya think?
Maybe we could capture his farts and use them to produce energy...

In better days. Now, Biden is whipping through our reserves, and regulating our production, strangling the companies here, while telling other countries to drill, drill, drill some more, pretty please?
