Is it possible there's trouble ahead for the presumptive nominee?

Whoa...when did Trump ever shut down networks or censor news? Let's be honest here, White...censorship has been a far left thing recently...not a Trump thing! He isn't against freedom of speech...never has been. He's against an unholy alliance between government and big tech to control what people hear but shouldn't we ALL be against that?

Where are you getting this cutting 40,000 Civil Service workers to replace them with his "loyalists"?
The 25 plan. Been worked on since 22.

I had to Google that, White and was disappointed (but not surprised!) to find that the "horrors" of Trump's plan to rid the Civil Service of people who put politics before job performance was being trumpeted by "anonymous" sources! Why is that?

Absolutely. Politics ain't beanbag. The fake laptop was a dirty trick, which was countered.

Nope, he just alienated them. They all told him to take a flier.

The small incursions had been going on since 2014. What Putin did was totally different.

Recently reached an agreement with them to curb fentanyl precursors. Re-established

Funny, these guys had 20 years to win the Afghan War and didn't. Funny how that works.

Biden got us out of that mess, even with the crap deal Trump stuck him with at Doha.
The laptop was Hunter's, you buffoon! Not even liberal stalwarts like the New York Times is denying that at this point! The truth is the FBI knew the laptop was genuine for the better part of a year and sat on that information.

NATO members increased their spending on defense. That was totally due to Trump calling them out on not living up to their commitments.

What Putin "did" was see Joe Biden's statement that he was OK with a small incursion into Ukraine as a green light to invade! It's just one more example of Biden not having a grasp of the job.

So after three years of China flooding the country with fentanyl and Biden doing NOTHING as more Americans died of overdoses than died in the entire Vietnam war...you're counting it as a "success" that the Chinese agreed to "curb" what they've been doing?

Biden didn't get us out of a mess. He created a mess by how he handled the withdrawal. As usual...Joe managed to totally fuck up something that Trump had worked out.

Let’s hope that the voters realize the fact that Trump is corrupt, dishonest, and unfit to be president – the American people don’t want to return to the Trump nightmare years.
Yeah, boy it was TERRIBLE when we didn't have wars in the Middle East and Europe...had a secure border...had record unemployment...had cheap gas and low prices at the grocery store...had interest rates low enough that normal people could buy a house...and didn't have rampant crime destroying our once great cities. Gosh...we don't want to go back to THAT nightmare! (eye roll!)

Again, I'm curious. Do you think a Civil Servant like Lois Lerner should keep her position when she used the power of that position to target people who's politics she didn't like?
Sounds like Dem and GOP House chairs who go after people in the other party they don't like.

Except we did have wars in the Middle East in Europe under Trump. Afghanistan was still going on before he surrendered to the Taliban at Doha and left Joe with the check. Syria was still going on. Putin was still infringing on Ukraine and Georgia.

We have record employment now, and a record stock market.

Crime is actually down from where it was in 2020.

You wingnuts all like to pretend 2020 didn't happen on Trump's watch. I don't blame you, it was such a fucking nightmare we'd all like to forget how badly Trump fucked up everything, but time for a reminder.

If $3.00 gas is your worst problem, your life is pretty good.

Read the Doha Accord, the treaty that Pompeo reached with the Taliban without involving the Afghan Government. It released 5000 Taliban fighters, and reduced US Forces to 2500 technical advisors. Not surprisingly, by the time Joe got there, the Taliban had taken over most of the countryside and started knocking off provincial capitals as the local warlords changed sides again.

Now, I don't have a problem with the Doha Accords. It recognized the reality that most Afghans would RATHER be ruled by the Taliban than the quislings we spent 20 years propping up. The Stupidity of the Afghan War was inserting ourselves into a civil war that has been going on since 1979. I have a huge problem with Trump blaming Biden for the situation Trump and Pompeo created.

Joe Biden botched the whole deal and willfully gave up Bagram ON PURPOSE to appease his Chi-com masters.
All YOU are doing is carrying his filthy water!!! :eusa_hand:

How would holding Bagram (which we didn't have enough troops to do after Trump reduced them to 2500) help, exactly?

The only goal was to get the remaining Americans out, and those people were in Kabul, NOT Bagram. They should have gotten out months earlier when they were warned that Afghanistan was no longer safe, but they had to stay to pick the last meat off the bone of those juicy federal contracts.

Here's the reality no one wanted to admit for 20 years. Most Afghans like the Taliban and agree with it. Most Afghan women are happy wearing Burkhas. If the Soviets couldn't change their culture after an all out assault for 10 years with 20 divisions, what were we going to do with just a couple?

Check a map, moron.

Biden economy ripping the cover off the ball. Great for the country which is always bad for Trump.

The economy grew much faster than expected in the final three months of 2023, as the U.S. easily skirted a recession that many forecasters had thought was inevitable, the Commerce Department reported Thursday.

Gross domestic product, a measure of all the goods and services produced, increased at a 3.3% annualized rate in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to data adjusted seasonally and for inflation.

That compared to the Wall Street consensus estimate for a gain of 2% in the final three months of the year. The third quarter grew at a 4.9% pace.

That is an IG question. I do no know if part of the 25 plan is to get rid of inspector generals across all departments or not.
